  1. I understand all that, but what I enjoy about tin top racing is the technical advances that flow on into road cars. We haven't had that situation (worldwide) for a long time. I know virtually every (or every!) "touring car" category around the world now runs to regulations that allow car A to compete evenly with car B, but I still think that if a manufacturuer developes a road car that, modified, can beat its modified opposition, well, let that manufacturer bask in the glory for as long as it takes for another manufacturer to build something better. I'm of the opinion that outright road car performance has been fairly stagnent since grp A was abolished.
  2. Wow, I gotta live in the States for a while Nice machinery mate, nice
  3. Not to mention the cars are nearly long enough to be mistaken for an Indycar.....
  4. I wasn't suprised but I was still shocked with how slow the cars looked early in the race. Eight seconds or so off qualy is massive. I was half expecting Brisby to appear from the pits in his 32 and challenge Vettel early on.
  5. Do it! These were a special order too.....
  6. Yeah, to be frank I'd rather watch V8SC than that appalling BTCC, underpower buzz boxes they are.
  7. Rays LMGT4's mate. I love them!
  8. This says it all, "The formula calls for a spec chassis"....... so yeah, call it what you will, it's just Nascar by another name, paint the Ford grill on to be a Ford, a Holden grill for a Holden, and so on...... I just wish the entire V8SC thing would just crawl up and die and that somehow "Group A" style could be re-introduced. Not gonna happen, but I'm allowed to dream.
  9. MAte, I watched it live on One HD then afterwards switched to Normal Ch10 to see it was being broadcast there, with about a 25 lap delay....... did you get to see it?
  10. Yeah, they have a very FWD feel to them and the only time you really notice it has 4WD is when powering out of a corner, no wheelspin. Save ya money Bris .......
  11. I personally thing a 265 on a 10.5" rim is too small. My 34 GTR has 285's on its 10.5" rims and they are still mildly stretched. I haven't (and won't be) tracked the car so I can't comment on track performance, but on the road the car handles the wide wheels extremely well in comparison to the 32's I'm accustomed to.
  12. A portion of the V8 Supercar track will be used on the saturday for Prologue and timed runs , Mt stuart on sunday
  13. Once we get the 4wd actually working properly it'll be much nicer to drive, and quicker Great video mate

PM me if ya after anything so we don't have to wreck this amazing and informative thread
  16. Looking fantastic
  17. The pissing down rain frightened us off bro...... next week hopefully M-Spec bar/rear spoiler off my gts-t.... here's a pic of parts (whats them worth?), only bloody pics I have of it atm sorry..... I'm not versed in the differences between parts for GTS-t's .....
