  1. Sorry Roy Boy I toptally missed this post mate. No rubbage other than mild FR inner guard (I think) occasionally on one particualr left hand corner at Lakeside. Otherwise good And yes! Update with some of those Facebook pics mate, she's so pwiddy now
  2. It's ok, I'll drive it. I'm assuming you're all paid up too?
  3. Good buying, grab 'em up fellas! I just got a new set, paid 600... this be good value.
  4. No sweat bud. If it's too close for you you will be best served finding a flat (no dish) wheel.
  5. Beamstas, well you still need a commonly available adaptor, the same as you'd use just to put an aftermarket wheel on. If that is your car pictured above you already have the adaptor. If it's not your car and you have the rehiostat for the 4WS behind the wheel you need to ensure you get a suitable hub adaptor. The quick release boss simply bolts to this adaptor. From memory the D1 quick release is around 2.5 inches thick, so it will bring your wheel that much closer. In my 32 it made it perfect (I'm a close sitter), but in other vehicles such as the GT4 (and others without telescopic columns)I mentioned aerlier it can be a pain.
  6. Exactly, even if your wheels aren't straight you just place it on and turn it until it clicks home. Fool proof. I remember one car I drove had your current hex style fitting, and it was sloppy, no good at all.
  7. Thinking about it, I think the essence of this event is more focussed toward the vehicle, as opposed to the vehicle owner's pace. I can understand if a workshop want to demonstrate the relative pace of their modifications on a road tyred street car to it's best by utilising a good ring in driver, given in most workshop cases there isn't one on staff. I think trying to police whom is driving what can get very difficult by the time everyone is wearing a helmet.
  8. True, good option, good car. And an 04 can now be had in the low teens maybe even better.
  9. On the GT4 we ran into this problem, but found it ok once we ditched the dished steering wheel and sourced a more suitable flat wheel.
  10. Dane, note that I'm using the D1 Spec version, not the virtually identical but slightly cheaper JJR branded one. We DO have a JJR version on one of our cars but it hasn't done enough time for me to say if it's as good. I don't really see any reason why it won't be though. I actually find the D1 better with less play than the Sparco unit, although the Sparco had been in use for three years as opposed to 18 months or so. Regardless, the enormous price difference will more than make up for any possible shortcoming in it's longevity in my opinion.
  11. Understood. Regularity really isn't my thing, I'd prefer to do Drive Bathurst albeit at great expense, but at least then I'll get a chance to really peg the thing at a wall. Regardless, any lap of Bathurst is a good lap
  12. I've had the Sparco spline type unit but found although good due to very little slop, it was also often a pain to re-attach the wheel in a hurry due to they run a neccesary master spline (especially if you've not left the steering dead straight), as you sometimes need to when running from the little girl's room to the start. They're also too expensive. For 18 months I've been using the D1 Spec from JJR, http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...at=0&page=1, and to be honest, can't really fault it, no slop, quick to release and engage, easy to line up when engaging, and cheap as chips.
  13. I spoke to them ealier in the piece about entering, and fairly quickly had the idea that "pushing the limits" would not be tolerated, so I very quickly lost interest. I'm not one to cruise around, and I fail to see how a track side marshal or pit wall official would be in a position to know when I was at or nearing the limit. I do however hope it's a wonderful event, I know several people going and if all goes well I'd hope to join in next year
  14. It weighed 11kg including front/dump pipe and cat convertor on my certified freight scales. Whatever it is made from, it's still going strong and it didn't scream "crap" when I received it or I simply wouldn't have installed it.
  15. I tried, I really did, but I just couldn't sit through that song. I even tried with it muted, but I could still somehow tell how it sounded. Either I've just eaten too much for lunch, or that music makes me sick.
  16. That's not the one I have mate. Mine is the ovoid style dump (I prefer anyway) and doesn't have a resinator (bonus to me :. It may have been a runout special? Just found the email and I paid the freight as I'm on a good rate with TNT; JDM Performance Turbo Back Exhaust System- R32 GTST 1 AU $699.00
  17. That's not the one I have mate. Mine is the ovoid style dump (I prefer anyway) and doesn't have a resinator (bonus to me :. It may have been a runout special?
  18. Baron, I did it to mine and the feel is chalk and cheese (read: FAR better!). I'm constantly trying to convince Berry to change his because as it is now I think it's terrible. Impossible to modulate worth a damn. JJ often list stuff on ebay under an alternate marketing name, and just so happens I was the only bidder Also, all Targa folks get a great discount there regardless, talk to Darron if you need anything as Steve is rarely avaialble
  19. Nothing new mate, mine is a stainless one from Just Jap. Outstanding value, including dump pipe (which just needed a small tidy up internally) and X-Force cat was around 650 bucks! GTS-t's a budget racers bra! The cat alone retails around 300! I couldn't be happier with it, great finish, and is holding up without issue
  20. Yeah but it's pretty clearly stated in the rules as per above mate
  21. Another +1 for Jeep. My 2007 WH is an oustanding tow car, and still does 0-100klm/h in less than 10 seconds with 2 tonnes on it's back And no, I don't give a shit about the Jeep haters who don't know better, it's great, but if I was to do a lot of long distance towing I'd opt for the diesel instead of my Hemi version (though I'd miss the V8 note).
  22. Yeah actually, you're 100% correct.
  23. Some Clubsprint guys are obviously taking it fairly seriously, I know of one Emo owner who's enlisted Mr Steve God-I-Love-To-Drink-Hard Glenney to pedal his kart.
