You can stick Karts. I tried, I really did, but I couldn't get into the whole no gears thing. Sent me to sleep. Sure the wheel to wheel racing is good, but meh, the rest of it, I'm not interested. Besides, you can own a rather decent dedicated track car for what a decent Kart and trailer setup will cost. And running expenses are actually fairly similar if you want to compete for a place in Karts. Karts are not cars!

If the average speed stays under the FIA imposed average speed limit for a stage, then by all means get rid of them! I'm more concerned for the future of the sport regading the freedoms creeping in. I know when it was CAMS it was crazy, like if you wanted to run your GTR as N1 you have to have EVERY GENUINE N1 part on it, but to see these "specials" creeping in has me concerned.

I have the airbox but am after the "scoop intake" that leads to it. The bit that goes from the radiator support over the top. Do you have that mate?

I reckon that car at 15k is a bargain. I had a firm buyer for mine when I advertised it post Targa for 26.5k but I decided against selling because I have become far too attached to it.

I've just read the entire thread, and it sounds like you obviously purchased the car as is. Have you by any chance checked the exhaust system thoroughly? Is there a shitty compliance cat in there? Has the cat begun to melt? Has a muffler collapsed? What I'm highlighting is significant exhauist system restrictions can easily cause you issues.

Have you ever read through some of the cars that the police have impounded used for trafficking? The dumb ones get caught remember, the smart ones don't and are more low-key. Edit: I also know this particualr car wasn't selling via the police, but it still had an awful stench around it.

Most blokes will button off on that really fast stuff, it's only the truly quick guys that do the extra recce and know the safe braking point that keep it pinned. That's why they're fast I guess.

You know this but I'll spell it out. That real fast shit is money, you need to spend a heap of time on those spots during recce so you know where you can hold the thing tapped. Of course you always need to ease the throttle if she's leaving terra firma, and mark your safe braking points so you can keep it flat for as long as you can knowing you can stop with confidence.
