  1. ** goes looking for Facebook style "Like" tab. ha.
  2. lol, you lifted the rear of the bonnet yet you left the rear bonnet seal on the firewall. You must drink more than me
  3. Yeah Dane, rotten streak of luck you have. I thought I was the only one with that kinda luck?
  4. Jesus, that'd be a little aristocratic wouldn't it? I don't own one, nor do I wish to, but I've spent lots of time working on, being involved with, and actually racing one. Your suggestion would block me out. Although I understand your frustration re the original poster and all the associated drivel.
  5. Got ya number Harry, will swing by if I get a few hours spare. The one thing we're not ugrading on the Levin is brakes..... he is under strict unstructions not to use them. Ever. lol
  6. G'day Harry! Yeah, the plan is to run slicks on it. It's a 20V, not a charger, and it will stay that way. We still have a couple of k up our sleeve so may slip a Microtech into it at some stage. No LSD standard, but it seems they are fairly readily available on Yahoo. Look forward to seeing you there again, I've totally worn out my 03G's, and have now got a set of KU36's to go on, really keen to see there lap time v cost v durability compared to the Dunlops. Mate, if you ever want a hand or a drinkin buddy while you're messing with it, I'm not far away
  7. You're a good man, I don't care what the yellowSnoweater says.....
  8. If you said first gen ZR1 i could understand mate Roy boy, you come across a sixth wheel for me yet?
  9. Not to mention looks better! I kiiiiid I kiddddd!
  10. Haha, why thanks Chris! Seems the little 32 has become my "beast" if you know what I mean, we all have an attachment to it now we've been through a bit together. I reckon the MX5 Challenge would be a major buzz, just watch for the first turn overcookers! lol
  11. How is the new car going Timmy? I didn't think you got a turbo? Ben, neither am I mate. As you know, we got through fine, only for me to break third on the track a few track days later. The good thing is, I've broken three boxes in mine now, all on the track (and I'm a smotth shifter, I don't rush changes), and each breakage has been a different breakage. 1. Broke the layshaft (I think because when shifting to 5th the synchro was a lil slow and clutch came out half way engaged). 2. Collapsed input shaft bearing. 3. Broke 3rd gear, just broke, fark knows.
  12. Thanks Chris, the Levin should be a ripper. We'll have it out on the 22nd for it's first shakedown and to get a base time before suspension and real tyres go on. I think it will be impressive, especially since it's going to be completed with new rubber and all for WELL under 5k! Where's your noise coming from? And if you mean my little 32, then thank you!
  13. Phark me Richard, you must be a good operator, coz bloody hell you have some time on your hands
  14. Yeah thanks Dane. Ben, I just rang Darren about it (the seller, a mate of mine), he said he wouldn't recomend it for us, not a straight bolt up and is only the lower three gears, no shaft upgrade etc.....
  15. I've done Karts (as an adult0 as I'm sure many have, but when i was young, my father pushed me more toward sailing than motorsport, so maybe I missed out on a motorsport career? lol If you want to just have fun, then yeah, grab up a 32 or s13 and kick off, if you want a career, well, thats a whole different ball game!
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum mate. Karts are great if you can afford to buy and run one already. Otherwise, work real hard and spend your own money, or have rich parents who'll fund you. There is no magic solution unfortunately and most of us on here are mere plebs paying our own way, with the probably exception of the great John Boston.
  17. I concurr, excellent writeup that probably even the septics can understand
  18. My GTS also runs that probe off the speedo drive, but we used a wheel probe on the 34 GTR, just made a bracket and aimed it at the back of the wheels studs as they suggest. Memory tells me we located the bracket of a brake line mounting bolt.
  19. Yeah yeah yeah, lap it up Lappy Lapperton. ABS poofter.
  20. Yeah I think so, but some of us still like to enjoy our driving....
  21. Don't worry, I won't be paying to get in the gate.....
  22. Count me in Jeff, as long as you don't try and teach me anything ok!?!? I've seen you drive.......
  23. Too right it would be great Nod, it's been pushed up as a great alternative too One minute laps are perfect for this event, and the track's great for spectating. I need to disagree with it being a power track though.... it's all handling mate, only gotta see the times some of the front drive stuff can do there. After driving Berry's 34 at QR, I'll say that it would be an adrenalin rush at Lakeside. lolol
  24. is it I was planning at being at Homebush.
