  1. Correct, the V8's aren't cutting edge stuff, but they are developed to within an inch of their capability. Having driven the 34 I can say it definately feels hobbled by tyres. Not taking anything away from the Yoki Advan, I'm sure they're great, but the car deserves a full slick. Obviously trying to develop the thing for Superlap events means tuning it on slicks is a waste. Regardless, for Bathurst it will be on slicks. Talking with dave who designed the suspension on wednesday (and builds V8's too), he says there is absolutely no reason the 34 wouldn't be quicker on a comparable tyre. And that fairly obvious when you flesh out the specs of each.
  2. Great video Noddy!
  3. Yeah thanks mate, if ONLY it was my car and not a borrowed one I'd be a very happy man. I too am impressed by them, and am looking forward to trying a set on my GTS-t to see how they compare to an 03G. PM me when you're coming up
  4. This one my dear.... stop scanning and start reading http://www.my105.com/12415
  5. lol, I was thinking the same thing Snow. And great work on the title change Benson, who's your tip? And stop trying to push ya evo3 onto one of us so you can jump into that neat little convertible we all know you want.
  6. What pole, oops, what drugs are you smoking this time Benson?
  7. Exactly what Timmay says ..... but thats no different to every other form of motorsport
  8. Start the 2010 thread Benson!
  9. It's confirmed. Marlin says they're pus.
  10. They're a great car, cheap to run, quicker than most people know, fun to drive, yeah you're right, I'll keep it And good news! Would be great to see you there, get Timmy to give you the hot tips..... I said tips, not tip. Who with? Any word? About the bird? Bird bird, bird is the word.....
  11. ** entered for Lakeside on the 17th........ BE THERE!
  12. Very true Roy......... in fact I'd back the GTS-t for the win on a track where brute horsepower is a factor, just can't beat a 20!
  13. Yeah we discussed it getting a passenger seat yesterday, will be difficult due to the muffler box but we'll try. Other peeps neeeeed to experience this car! And funnily enough, I'm the only person other than Mark to have driven it..... the back of my throat is bruised. haha
  14. Now now don't fight, I'll sell you mine if need be.
  15. Funnily enough someone else has asked me about this car today!
  16. I'm absolutely filthy that my session of in-car footage was accidently erased prior to being saved to disc though.... yeah, kinda shattering that.
  17. And you didn't come say hi?!?! Mid 54's actually, but in my defence I'd never driven that track layout before, or the car obviously, quite a bit to learn in six laps The car is amazing, Mark said my eyes were like dinner plates when I stepped out, it's such a sweet little handler, but the standout for me would have to be the gearbox, wayyyyy cool that is! Oh, and having all wheels spinning in 5th gear at the bump between turn 1 and 2 is pretty funky

  19. I can very happily confirm I drove the thing yesterday and the mirror is solid as a rock now
  20. Was a great day Paul, nicely run mate.
  21. Well, we took the beast to QR yesterday to test some wheel alignment/sway bar, and ride height changes and Mark very kindly allowed me a session in the car. Needless to say it's ruined me for life, words can describe it but I'm summarise and just say THE THING IS FARKING AWESOME! Thanks again to Mark and Russ (aka Giant) to allow me to skid the weapon
  22. Yeah nah, I wouldn't personally be happy to run these on a 35. Knowing the lateral grip the car is capable of making and seeing what it can do to even a good quality tyre thats not designed for the weight of the car, I would steer clear, it's false economy to risk a car of this value to save a couple of grand on a questionable wheel.
  23. Watching intently Kel! Thanks for the writeup, this one should be fun
  24. Am I correct in saying you need the r35 consult to code the key to the particular vehicle? ie All the keys are the same ex-factory and are individualised to the particular car via Consult. Nissan dealers won't help you but I do believe there is a Consult or two floating around Oz now in the hands of aftermarket....
  25. Lift ya game ya Spac!
