  1. Thanks Mick. 17 x 8 with a 235/45/17.
  2. I knew you'd pick that Harry. LOL To be honest, I just can't keep it flat, it needs a little lift to get some transfer onto the front, otherwise big understeer = hello grass maybe wall. lol I'd imagine though, if I did grow some man-balls, I'd be even faster than you than I already am around there lol (just playin mate )
  3. Yeah top spot to watch it His XT is an Nc spec, but he's a lil timid and just runs regularity. Great car, something speccy about a Windsor @ 8500 that I love Maybe you recognise it, here I am driving it under the bridge on friday; And some other pics on friday's practice a friend took
  4. Dunno why he sold 'em, sure, maybe a fraction on the ugly, but light as fark!
  5. I'd be keen to swing on down if anyone wants to share your gearbox with me?
  6. Hungry is the left-hander at the bottom of the dip after the old walk-over bridge. Sorry I didn't know you were up or I would have made a point of meeting you. I think you're describing the kink re the Torana. He would have been doing at least that speed... I drove my mate's XT Falcon GT there on friday and cracked 200klm/h through the kink, which is mega quick on drum brakes etc... lol
  7. PFFFT!!! . . . . thanks you farker, I just sprayed coffee out me nose. lolz
  8. Nice looking engina Flame captured on film..... might be due for a new cat convertor you think?
  9. Yeah I think I might get out there too, been a long time since I've done laps there.
  10. Can we all just agree to move on? LOL
  11. That's fair enough Snow, but I do assume that setting a car up for circuit as opposed to tarmac rally is quite different. For instance, my car is quick with shit in it on the circuit, but I bet it aint quick with the same shit in it on a rally stage, but it sure was with the DMS in it. I'm glad you haven't asked me what spring rates I ran in the DMS at Targa. LOL
  12. One needs to stand back and look at that situation as a whole mate. The driver had no prior GTR experience, and there was evidently something wrong with the car as it also broke an upper Nismo arm, so all was not well with that car in my humble opinion.....
  13. Yeah the 33 gtr with the carbon boot was a hot lookin thing
  14. Yeah I was suprised! I was at QR saturday because I had my girl and her dad in a V8 experience car, to see a bunch of cool cars arriving for the afternoon sprints! So many cars that I haven't seen before, why don't some come to Lakeside...... noise limit is a lame excuse, just about anything can pass. Not hatin, invitin
  15. lol true true.....
  16. it sure was a spectacular weekend of historic motorsport. Lakeside is such a great family orientated track, excellent viewing, excellent racing! The croup Nc stuff was fanatstic, I crew for Russell Wright who won all the races except the last, 650hp of XY GT around there is sweet The racing between Rusty and the LJ Torana was a highlight for many I reckon Not to mention the massive spin during the attempted overtake into Hungry corner! lol And Russell, if you were there Friday mate you would have seen the 32GTR doing some laps of the track too
  17. But doesn't a 14 year old have at least some pubes?
  18. Excellent to meet you too! Great track huh, just about to head back out for another dose of Queensland sun, see you there! No good re camshaft, I was looking forward to having a dice with you!
  19. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not so much interested in organising an SAU day out there, most SAU Queenslanders are more interested in ice cream and wristing eachother off than motorsport. In our little group of cars we have 9 guys who are nearly always up for it, so adding a couple of you guys into and we could make it a date I reckon
  20. Thanks Ben, I haven't run QR in this car yet. Scotty ran the 35, but only for a couple of panzy laps. He does panzy real well The things are immense though, 30klm/h up on me by the kink, lots of go Testerday was awesome, did nearly 200 kilometres on track, hammered the tyres, drove 5 different cars, was a great day. And seeing the Group A's out there as well, and handing it to a group A Sierra was pretty wild, and fully dicing lap after lap with a Group A Vk was well cool too The Gibson GTR was up too, with the 31
  21. You damned plagiarist.........
  22. Ignore Duncan, he's just annoyed he fell off the road at 5klm/h and totally binned a car. If you do really want to do someting like targa, your list looks good except the -7's and dumps. If however you want to do Buller, I think that's pretty much run what you brung.
  23. LOLOL, I love the description! Edit; I see it's a Bowden's car
  24. Harry has sparked up my old man memory! If it's correct it's not the actual race car but rather the promotional car. You know, the car that sits out the front of the retail shops in the sun to look cool. I do remember as a young impressionable trainspotter seeing pictures of the race car in magazines and noting that this car (that was often parked right near my work) was slightly different in details. Want a Heli-coil?
  25. No mate, not something I'd jump at.
