    Call Russell Snowy......
  2. Right on folks Ummm...... six sleeps.
  3. I'm super keen to know as well mate!
  4. Great news! We have an additional sponsor! Targa Tom has kindly donated his set of DMS springs/shocks for use in Targa! They're on the way to the workshop as we speak. With this setup it should be alot more supple on the bumpy stuff, and easier to drive wet Can't wait to feel the difference! Thank you Greg! Also, Russ and I have waived goodby to our cars, they're on the way to Melbourne town. We'll next see them in Launceston on the Monday before the event.
  5. I think I remember seeing something like this on an old Hi Octane video or something when they ran across one in Japan. Donnon might be able to help you as I think he was there? And yeah from memory it had a Z18 in it.
  6. I've used a GTS-t one on an R before, no issue at all mate.
  7. Well, I'm attending an Anzac rememberence BBQ on the saturday night at The Olde Tudor Motor Inn. Maybe we could organise some snags and brews and add ourselves to that? Thoughts PAZ?!?!?
  8. MAte don't worry, I'm nervous too! More regarding leaving "my baby" (my business) than anything else. Our chat on the phone last night really helped me get my head straight though mate, thanks.
  9. Notes and a few other goodies are on their way via TNT Overnight first class lil' buddy.
  10. Yeah mate that was me. I stand by that, the material is very thin, just so easy to tear a hole in it, especially when fitting. Even placing them on a table would mark them. I also had vision issues with the head restraints, I assume because they're solid unlike the Cobra's.
  11. Spent alot of time in lots of race seats. For my magnificent body, nothing fits better than a Cobra Evolution. (not my pics)
  12. haha, well, I'm just english convict blood, while Timmy, as he would put it after a few drinks, is, "Blue hair, blonde eyes, - - of a superior race!"
  13. Well.... you never never know huh! To be frank, it's a bit of a tradition for me, you know, Murphy's Law.....
  14. Yeah PI would be good, but I think the cost of hiring the track for the day is over 30k. Might be out of the budget for an event like this in it's infancy?
  15. Yeah I read that on your Facebook last night.... had a little giggle to myself
  16. Phew! Brakes flushed, intercom in, roll cage padding on, wipers on, one muffler removed, Timmy's foot plate finished, bolt check, spare wheel mount in, and last but not least, advertising stickers on the front sump skid plate
  17. Hmmm, I think it's better, albeit slightly.
  18. I still find it silly that Nissan Oz won't supply parts to non-Nissan Oz imported cars. It's these grey cars that are out there (ok maybe not the pure road rego ones) bringing brand awareness when racing, not to mention added and valued turnover of parts. My way of thinking is Nis Aus should have a re-think, maybe obtain the names and VIN's of the rally rego examples in Australia, and support those guys with parts. By this I mean the likes of Jones, Giant, Leihmus, Alford, Quinny etc ... they're all out there racing these things, not daily driving them.
  19. Honestly, I admire Ray for building these things, and they are quick, no doubt, it's just a real shame they look like they do. Now, if they looked more like an Elfin Streamliner (which are evil handing buckets), he'd be onto something.
  20. lol.... maybe coz it's black and it's harder to actually make out the shape of it Harry?
  21. Tugga is definately AASA mate
  22. Hmmm, guessing you're not the best of friends huh? I don't know much about the model, but you're allowed to run whatever driveline the vehicle series came with. ie, if an RB25DET was available, you'd enter it as a Cefiro RB25DET. If the largets engine was an RB20DET... then that's the best you can run. For istance, my r32 GTS-t has the RB20DET, but if I were to enter the vehicle as an R32GTS25, then I would be able to run the RB25DE, but NOT the turbo DET version. That's my understanding of the rules for this era of vehicle. Now, earlier vehicle I believe can have much looser regulations if they run in "modified", ie, Toranas with 7L Chevs. 5 link rear ends etc etc... but not this era. Hopefully Stewed Balls will pop on and answer this much neater....
  23. Yeah, it had somethin real funky going on..... Everyone tells me that it's impossible to get ABS working in conjunction with twin master cylinders and brake bias, yes that car had it.... DJR... shed any light on that mate? I believe the bias didn't adjust front/rear as you would expect, but actually diagonally..... why would ya??? lol... rest assured, after we tested it and found it "out of adjustment", with a little moment, we got it right and left it well alone. I think the theory behind the Magna/Evo ABS pump was it's meant to be quicker reacting.
  24. Did Cefiro ever come with RB25? I didn't think so. Maybe he's accidently let his cheater-spec out of the bag? lol
  25. Go Team Manion!
