  1. Gee I wish I was there! Given the chopped section is 3 to 6 kays on Cygnet maybe just shorten it Stu rather than drop it out altogether? Its a great stage and would be a shame to lose it Zero car are ya? what ya drivin, a Mitsi 380 auto I hope Spoke to Glenney last night, he reckons the 'dore is a good thing, plenty of stick. It's a newly built thing though so he says if it's not competetive keep an eye out for plenty of smoke and sideways
  2. lol, ok well, please be sure to say g'day to Tash and Pete for me!
  3. Good news mate, great little thing to have some fun in! Well done
  4. Stay safe and legal Kel I've been getting reports that the stages look good, you better be heading to Joe's Garage tonight for Thirsty Thursdy!!!
  5. Agree wholeheartedly Roy, GT2/3 cars need to be inelligable. It's important that the cars are built from a road car, not simply replicated a road car utilising aerospace materials etc...... taking that into consideration Dean's Gallardo above would be inelligable, but say, Kevin Weeks/John white could run his Superleggara without hesitation.
  6. Could we bring this then? It's only to GT3 spec....
  7. Thanks Ashley, thats great mate.
  8. Cheers Greg! Russell has kindly lent me a "box" which can take 4 pencil cams, but I have 2 only. It also has an aux microphone, a lance to switch the handycam on/off. If I use this I'll still need to but a camera, and so far I haven't been able to get any sound from it. This is the problem we had at Burnie. The main worry for me is the amount of bloody wiring in the system, if I do eventually get it all to work it just seems SO easy to bump one lousy wire in the heat of getting a helmet or whatever, and she's all over...... I'm torn, really am......
  9. Hey guys, anyone seen/heard/used one of these? http://www.hoyttech.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...;Product_ID=315
  10. Hey.... think on the bright side Timmy, you're still built like one
  11. Thats really cool Snowy!
  12. Harry I know of a series 3 rx-7 that was given a hard time years ago too, but currently I think you're allowed to run with a sunroof. But, and this is a big but, there's something in my mind telling me that in order to run it needs to be a metal one? Pop rivet an alloy sheet on?
  13. A trailer is a good investment anyway...... takes the stress right out of breaking your car!
  14. Thanks for posting Noddy! Great news, I might swing out and take a look over the fence this weekend
  15. Run 'em in hard, and they run long n strong!
  16. For your budget I reckon you're better off getting something that is already a quick base car. Adding turbos, engine conversions, brakes, suspension et all will chew up your 10k quicker than you can blink. Something like a S13 (although, I'd find one SR powered) or a 32 or even a crappy condition 33 gts-t would be the go in my opinion. Six months ago I bought a 32 gts-t with a CAMS cage, race seats, harnesses and everything else required for the money you're talking..... search MY105 and disregard the asking prices, it's a buyer's market, and just kick them in the balls and make an offer. There is always the possibility of getting a race/rally only import, one you can still drive to and from track days etc..... I've seen many good S13's for around 7-9k that would be perfectly suitable, heck a mate just got a great Series 6 RX7 in himself with suspension, big single turbo etc landed for 12k! Best thing is, if you don't chase big HP, most of the Jap stuff doesn't need brake upgrades etc.... thats when you start spending the money.
  17. You guys are going to have a ball Whats the word on the weather?
  18. Should be good for doin all the handbrake turns required when wanting to run over a piece of road again in recce
  19. Yeah nah, gotta disagree there Roy. IMO, you'd be much better served going the Extend Port route.....
  20. Yeah likem! What you recce-ing in Snowflake? Timmy reckons his RB25 180SX doriftmeister will be ready for ours And remember, "screech and slams" for the good people tas
  21. ie the Hummer.....?
  22. When I last spoke to Gavin he was excited that I'd bought something that I hope to compete against him with. He's a top bloke and a really good steerer to boot, so I'm looking forward to it Enjoy the Munro Stu?
  23. Kinda Russ knows what it means to me, so I have his full blessing...... Personally I don't think we have a chance against those lightweight Porshes, having seen Rex Broadbent's thing in action actually I say we categorically have no chance, but of course a Class win is always the aim Oh, and to finish! Not sure how much sideways stuff we can afford, 4 tyre limit these days Timmy, I'm not sure either mate? Haven't been able to work it out really! lol
