  1. I think Kel covered it well One difference though... I found it very hard seeing over the bonnet after the pedestrian bonnet charged lifted the back of the bonnet up about 7 inches Keep in mind I sit on the floor....
  2. I was going down, but decided I need to work on my Skyline.... Russ is going, crewing for Stewy Reed in his weapon Datto 1600..... you've got his number yes?
  3. Well wicked pic mate!
  4. Ok sweet..... you lot better look out.... coz I'm COMIN THROUGH!!!!!!
  5. Jason, whats the scoop re damage done to a vehicle, ie, if two cars come together on track during these 30 min sessions? Who's liable?
  6. Hahahaha, no you wouldn't Harry. I know you, and you wouldn't like coming 200th mate FYI, Doing an entire note check including running over some stages, two, three, or even four times can be done in four to five long days.

    Kel's R35 Adventure

Gee how did I miss this Kel! Nice write up! Conveys the rally rush well
  8. ..... and I'm onto it
  9. Doing your own notes isn't hard but most of us are time poor trying to earn the 20 grand thats needed to do Targa! Therefore, it makes perfect sense to use a trustworthy notes source such as Vandenbergs, Rally Notes, whatever, AS LONG AS YOU MAKE THE TIME TO CHECK THEM! So, I half agree Harry, but I'd never use unchecked notes. Buying good notes saves about half the time of writing your own, and of course you can modify them however you like to suit your particulat style.

    R35 Gtr

Is true... and it's a "tuned" car.
  11. Could possibly line you up? Have a good mate readying a shipment now. PM for his details if you like. Where's it coming from? Of course it's coming to Brissy though.
  12. ... and I can also send you the Vandenberg notes corresponding to the stages. i suggest don't try and disect the where or why's this early on mate, just watch heaps on in-car and practice practice, it'll become second nature. As I told Giant, you'll never want to drive anywhere without ya missus calling notes for you, and he totally agrees
  13. Happy to send you some in-car from Tugga mate with me callin if you like. Can hear it real clear....
  14. Deposit taken...........
  15. Heya Bobby, can you PM me some details too please mate?
  16. 1. The clutch is not a consumable, it's wet, it has a very very long life. Aftermarket upgrades are already being done if that floats ya boat. 2. Every part in the car is available seperately, it's not compulsory to purchase a gearbox as a whole. Aftermarket upgrades are already being done OS too. Therefore, rumours such as "tranny consumables (such as a clutch) apprently cannot be replaced" is undoubtably crap.
  17. Where is this crap coming from???? And I'm staggered by the public display of immaturity of you other two...... take it elsewhere could ya?
  18. Sure I'd be interested in a post event track day.... again dependant on track time becasue I'll need some practice time to find out where a good discreet "cut" is to ensure I take home a rex lol
  19. If thats gonna be a lease car you'll be keeping the shell won't you mate?
  20. I spoke to Jason about this and even put my name down for an entry when it was at 3.5k. I memory serves me correctly the cars will be on some form of Pirelli race tyre. Whether it is a semi or a slick is dependant on what Pirelli come up with as they are a sponsor. - Tyre degradation worried me, although apparently there will hundreds of rotations, but still....... not hard to get a bad one, or how about an over or under inflated corner? How pissed would ya be! I asked how much track time would be allowed, would there be a practice session, and was told no, and that what one of the reasons I decided to withdraw my interest. I was glad that I did when a couple of days later the website was opened and I see that these would be judging on "talent, speed, flair, agility and car control".... who's judging? Additionally, what to garuntee that preffessional drivers don't enter. Jason said they wouldn't be allowed, siting that anyone with V8 Supercar experience wouldn't be allowed. What abouyt someone like Steve Glenney? I wouldn't back myself against Steve if he only had three wheels! So, after mulling it over the Snowy, I decided not to do it... maybe I'll kick myself one day, (my old man said go for it but he would lol), but ..... I'm in motorsport for the fun and I don't need the stress of an event like this. edit: I wish Jason all the best luck with it though, and hope it works well and that everyone has a ball
  21. Nice work..... pics Stu Not rusty????
