  1. Well Phat Timmy and I are teaming up to hold hands in my little 32 GTS-t this year as most of you know I can't say how excited I am to be going back! I was really looking forward to navving for Russ in the big gun R35, but getting the Tarmac Magazine financial help and a big hand from Timmy the super-peakin-nav really tipped the decision to run the 32 Biggest news is we're changing pace notes this year, Tim and I both figure we are really craving more information now, though neither of us have the time to write our own notes, so we're making the switch from 1 to 6 over to 1 to 10, with alot more info The extra information will hopefully allow us to keep the little RB20 up at a reasonable pace. We don't have the benefit of RB26 power and big clutch stabs this year to cover any small mistakes and get us back up to speed. Car prep, well, my buddy Elmo and I have been hard at it..... so much for running a cheap race car! lol The car should be good though, it looks the part now, though there's plenty left to do. Corner weighting the suspension hopefully this weekend, making a skid plate tonight and fitting some extra gauges amongst a bunch of other stuff. Oh, and a couple of extra double seat grab bars for Tim We're in category 7, late classic. So I asked nicely for number 32, for R32, so we're car #732 http://www.targa.com.au/Competitors/profil...c%20Competition Timmy's a hit with the ladies, "blue hair, blonde eyes"
  2. Is that Jason on the microphone?
  3. Gosh that looks awfully familiar, is it not the same as N14 Pulsar Ti (up-spec)?
  4. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...-D-t257750.html
  5. Haha, true! Well, it'll be good if you can stick around Dean, and I see I might be up against a certain Pulsar GTiR in late classic next year ..... who's gonna pedal it?
  6. Too right, R35 GTR - the new Evo IX
  7. What are you doing whoring around here Dean? lol
  8. lol Dunc, something tells me I know the vehicle you're talking about....... shame the hottie engine was sold to someone else and was in someone else's race car last time I drove the car in question. LOL Edit: just to clarify, this talk of a hottie engine is pure speculation Duncan, because personally, I think you have it wrong. I can only go by what people whom were actually there have told me while sober.
  9. Yeah same goes. I think I'll leave the car in Melb after Targa and have some fun in this with a mate
  10. Yes interesting times ahead with regard to what the fuel change will do. Some scrutineering checking some engine capacities wouldn't go astray though....... look, this Evo even comes with a legal spec 2.0L engine as a spare! lol http://www.my105.com.au/classified.asp?id=11538
  11. Gard Damn Scott! I'm cringing!
  12. Yeah i don't mind.... I'll be one of the first five if that's cool with you, I really wanna see this succeed so don't mind paying too much. Now, where's the link to order me Breitling?
  13. Harry, it was about on par with the guys that are normally in our group. You know, white RX7, white STi, those boys.....
  14. Were you there Harry? Can't say I saw you, I was forced to just watch yesterday.
  15. The Dunlops might last twice as long? Unfortunately, I think Dunlop is aware they have the fastest current tyre, and are pricing them accordingly
  16. Just found this pic on my phone, thought it might help. It shows the holes cut with the hole saws and ready for the rest to be cut out with a cutting wheel.
  17. Sorry, I just call the Dunlops that by habit. Everyone in my "group" knows what we mean when we refer to them like that.
  18. lol @ Bob Jane All-rounders Did said Evo guys on mediums do any good or did they make them last by driving like pansies?
  19. I did mine after the bonnet was sprayed Roy, no big deal either way. Here's Stu's direct email; [email protected] , he could post them wherever mate. If you're talking to Russ again, maybe ask him if he has any spare sets, I remember he mentioned that a while back.
  20. Hi Mick, there's no problem with the factory catch at all mate. I went with these for a couple of reasons. 1. I went to a GTR bonnet so rather than get the GTR catch panel or modify my original I got rid of the catch panel, catch, and cable alltogether. All that weighed about 3.7kg. Also aids in airflow to the radiator. 2. With the cage in my car it was very hard to pull the bonnet cable, so now the service crew can just lift it without me having to unbuckle and throw my neck out.
  21. Can someone please tell me what THE recommended oil is for a Kaaz diff?
  22. hehe, I wouldn't cover a dashboard that cost as much as my entire race car either!
  23. That is a bargain and worth considering. I'm suggesting the SR compound, which is between meduim and hard. Just slow down Snowy!
