Might sound silly but, maybe try idling with the handbrake off (chock the wheels). See if it idles longer. perhaps in some way there is something connected to the brake like the immobiliser, similar to how a timer should be hooked up? I could be trippin' though.

Yeah man! How good was it? Many Blue and Red coloured pencils were destroyed drawing that wicked Spaceship on a wet lunchtime in Primary School. Robotech was a little later in life but cool... Does anyone remember "Robo Story" ? with the Black Robots, lead by a White Robot called the White Wriggler? (I only just recently figured out what it was) Oh and Danger Mouse and Banana man were awesome too.

Dragon Ball Z... Never got into it myself... I was more of a Battle of the Planets kinda guy.
