  1. GTS are a nice car, why try to make them something they are not? If you're going to put GTR badges on it, don't forget to put the AMG and M3 and HSV badges on them as well. You say you have a GTST yet your profile under your name says R33 GTR??
  2. I'll take the rear speaker covers if you want to seperate them.
  3. You're going to get different opinions here as well. One thing is for sure. Do not get a solid centre clutch. My opinion: I have a Jim berry clutch which cost around the $1000 mark, i drive my car daily and take it to the track, seems to be holding up well and is very easy to drive. I would recommend one of these, or get Ben from Racepace to get you one of the single plates he uses. also around the same price. Frank runs over 350rwkw and used one of the clutches Ben got for 2-3 years. and he doesn' go easy on his car
  4. Jerry: any idea what the difference would be between your setup and GTR032? Just tune or something else?
  5. This calculation means standard 444cc GTR injectors are good for 533HP(400KW) at the flywheel? is that right?
  6. Tell me whats so special about nissans ATF for ATTESA? yug: On a 4wd dyno its only running the transfer clutchs for a few seconds, not much different to giving it a bit of stick on the road, the clutches engage?
  7. Nissan can get them for you, expect to pay around $1000-1200 bucks new (yep not a typo) or you can get a fibreglass one from nismo.com.au for around $300. but fibreglass won't last long
  8. You can use ATF in the ATTESA. Thats all it is.

    Congrats Beefy

I'm with Geoff. You think cars are a money pit? nothing compared to kids j/k Congrats Brandan!
  10. Build quality is good. The RB is very strong and mod friendly. Reliable depends how well maintainted it is and how far you push it. its a sliding scale. if its near standard doens't need much more work than any other car. oil changes every 5,000ks with good oil etc.... Common problems, dont really know... make sure you get a compression/leakdown test before buying... don't pay any attention to km's on the clock most imports have been wound back. Would you feel comfortable blowing ~40k on a car you've never seen or driven? i know i wouldn't, i'd prefer to buy local first, but if you can't find what you're after local you could look to import... I drive my R33 GTR to work daily and track it on club track days without changing anything, drive on track, race drive home etc... but mine is pretty standard... evo7 never driven one can't say sorry. To give you some idea, stage 1 mods on a GTR includes exaust/cam gears/ecu/more boost on std turbos and you'll make about 250rwkw.
  11. Check out an S2000 then. 2litre 176kw N/A revs to 9000. and handles well too....puts the mx5 to shame. but of course different price braket.
  12. How did this go BOOSTD?
  13. Just don't buy a solid centre clutch, thats all you need to know. Go for a sprung centre, most are sprung anyway.
  14. Exactly my thoughts. I don't know much but i would assume at 4000rpm, they only have to fire half as much as they would at 8000rpm. From what i have seen, injectors usually max out up the top of the rev range. We need someone more knowledgable to answer Fuel pressure reg should help get a little more out of the injectors. Only a couple of hundred bucks.
  15. the gearbox can handle more power than that. just don't abuse the gearbox and don't put a solid centre clutch in it, i know from expereince
  16. Don't stress, My brand new R33 GTR gearbox from nissan whines!!!
  17. Do you have a fuel pressure reg? How do stock injectors induce the 'lag'? Would be good to know what duty cycle your hitting - you don't have a h/c? 252rwkw sounds pretty close to what i made on stock turbos. Do you have adjustable cam gears?
  18. No i didn't, but im suprised even the long motor is that cheap new
  19. Anyone who has that clicking noise when you start your R33 from behind the dash, the bit you need is shown in the 3rd pick down - black box on top of heater box.

    Evo 9

yet to go in an Evo but would love to see what they are like. Theres a stock evo going to track days here in vic that was keeping me honest. From what i've been told they are pretty quick standard but they are hard to make go faster.
  21. I 'think' Australian delivered R32 GTR's had std oil coolers.
  22. What power did you make on std turbos btw?
  23. Yeah i'm interested to know how mine goes when i get them fitted. Give me a month or so and i'll be back.
  24. "sorry officer i was trying to outrun the ghosts, thats why i was doing 200k/h" hah
  25. don't worry dude, just gives you something to aim for next year
