  2. I always found this rule a bit funny - ever seen all the gizmos in a taxi and where they are mounted? theres always something above the highest point on the dash. Obviously taxi drivers must be able to see through these obstructions.

  6. I think i remember reading somewhere the first thing you do when installing a PowerFC is disable the optional boost controller kit in the menus - it is on by default i think? Of course i could be spinning shit.

  9. viking: i was only guessing, I don't actually know why. Also if you have aftermarket AFM's the stock ECU will get confused as well.
  10. I know (well i've been told) bigger injectors and stock ecu won't play. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it tho. At a guess i'd say it would run REALLY rich. dumping more fuel in than it realises.

Make friends with Andrew if you're in sydney, he's probably a good contact to have My suggestion to you would be try to get into another 1st/2nd level support role more focused on networks, at least you'll have half the job experience (supporting). ISP helpdesk may be good to learn on since they use lots of cisco/network stuff As for your orig question, sounds to me like you want to get into networking, so do your CCNA, and then move onto the next cert, CCNP or whatever tickles your fancy.
  12. I have Ohlins coilovers in my R33 GTR. Came with the car but suppose to be good stuff worth 5k?, damper adjustable via allen key up front and a black dial behind the rear wheels. Considering changing to a set of Eibach springs. macattack: did you notice any difference swapping from the springs with ohlins to eibach?

  16. my turbos have run over 40,000ks, a few track days at 1-1.1bar boost making 260rwkw. I'm back down to 0.7bar now for unrelated reasons, and its so slow! But it is luck of the draw, some turbos may die at 1bar, some may last forever.
  17. Mate ran a 2530 or 2535 HKS turbo, with std actuator it wouldn't hold boost up top, so he needed the HKS actuator.
  18. Does it happen in neutral as well? ie no load? Try someone who does know RB engines.

  21. well thats much better than stock turbos, they dont hit 1bar until about 3500, but you do have CAMS.

  24. did your engine actually blow up bob? i read you had some trouble but you thought it was just going to be plugs?
