  1. r34gtt brakes and brand new lines arrived today , now to order some rotors and pads. Really wanted to spend money on going faster but I figure stopping is more important for a rookie driving a land barge at Wakefield .
  2. I know Texi is about skids but will the times be posted up ? If you need someone to transcribe the details into digital format happy to help.
  3. The Family and I will not be coming i was given a choice of this or Wakefeild .... Wakefeild it is ... I can never line it up to make a cruise.
  4. I was hoping you would reply, now I know I'm good to spend money
  5. And one other thing, what master brake cylinder stopper did people use? I assume that r33/34 one will do the job.
  6. Looking to upgade the brakes on a C34 s2 RS4S and I'm 99% sure I have this right. Can those who have done it please confirm that r34 gtt front brakes and rotors are a direct bolt on with no mods required, just need braided lines to make it all fit?
  7. Okay paid and form sent. I'm very nervous about doing a track day for the first time but given how friendly and helpful everyone is at texi, I figure this will be the best place to start.
  8. In with the wife, may have trouble off loading kids, if I can't get rid of them are they okay to come? ( 2 boys, age 5 and 8 ).
  9. As always I'm slow to respond, kind of like sunday. Awesome day, thanks to everyone helping to put on another great day. Thanks to Nick for giving me a race at the end of the day. Great to see a bunch of stags out there, now we need to get them on the skid pan. Hopefully my granny driving will encourage them to uphold the stag honor. Sutton road looks great, very keen for that. And Steve-o I drive faster when the icecream is melting.
  10. Sunday: Mostly sunny morning. Isolated showers and thunderstorms from midday I like this report, sensible in the morning, 4wd heli's in the arvo.... However it would be nice if it stopped raining today, missed my chance to do stuff to the car this morning.
  11. Bahahaha, thanks i needed a laugh after a shit week. ++ to everything stated re to small ugly etc For me I wanted a rb engine/manual+ needed family car = stag. I still smile everytime i start it up in morning. #fanboythread
  12. good chance that was me. Didn't notice another stag.
  13. Form Faxed today, payment made a couple of weeks ago . sorting out the license issue, have put TBA on the form.
  14. Spotted black C34 S2 on th approach to gladsville brigde, I'm guessing by where it was parked, it was having troubles.
  15. I'm old and drive a Stagea. no problems but seriously I agree with Duncans last post, keep it subtle and dont be a dick. As much as everybody in this thread does the rigth thing, there are people out there with very different attitudes, I don't want to share the road with them either. I just do my bit to show that owning an imported car with mods does not make me a dangerous hoon, if I change the opinion of few people, all good. And yeah, see you all next year in another thread with the same theme.
  16. Let's get some Stagea's to the next Texi ... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/383719-s-a-u-n-s-w-texi-sos-12th-february-2012/ Don't let me take away the wagon glory ( I refuse to compare my times to the two doors ) Remember it's not all about smoking tyres and rev limiter bouncing, go as hard as you like and the faster times are done with throttle finesse rather then flat to floor. First timers $35.... very little coin for a fun day out. Also looks like we will have low numbers = lots of runs
  17. slower is faster, just doesn't look as good. re my lack of license in mail, do you want to do up a form or leave it for the day. Also should I be chasing someone at aasa?
  18. Entry fee paid. Ref : Texi Ryan Ambrose re the ASAA license- I paid and supplied forms last time, should I have received something in the mail? I have no license number to put down. now to find money for a new clutch ( or not do hard launches )
  19. Spotted a silver M35 Axis parking at the Stanmore GOC yesterday. Waved, got a wave back. Anybody on here? My kids have been going to the childcare for 5 years now, little one is in his last week.
  20. I certainly don't think it's boring, slow etc . the current crop of Pikes Peak drivers are amazing and they are driving awesome machines. My point was just that the 10 min barrier while sounding cool, is not a fair comparison year on year . oh and I have a nostaglia hardon for Group B ... Any driver that can get up under 12 mins is vey good , under 11 amazing ... It's in my top 3 events to visit before I die, only a little disapointed that I didn't go before all tarmac. (really need to be clear when posting... )
