  1. Thanks Eric. It's Confirmed, Car 0 , first in the Wagon Division. I'll have to try and get a wider competition base at the next one. I’m hiring a go pro next time, just so I can review my against times, will be interesting.
  2. looking good in the Cube mate, I want one! if only for the fuel bill.
  3. There already is an open wheel class and I believe once upon time they where the fastest. Of course probably not the kind you are thinking off. The ten minutes barrier while amazing, is not truely reflective of improving cars but a combination of more tarmac and faster cars. The all tarmac part will change the event, not a bad thing, just different. I still think the group b runs look the most amazing, have a search for Audi Quattro S1 doing it's thing in the Eighties.
  4. hahaha the famous burger Nazi... I refuse to go there now , I don't care how good her chicken is. On Saturdays the queue is out the door, so I geuss she can afford to be a bitch. Next time get to cthe ounter and take ages to decide what you want, she blows her top and tells you to get out... I get tempted to go down and wind her up.
  5. great stuff Ian, I've already run off to the post a picture of Stagea section let's see if I can encourage another wagon out there. I think the last one needs a creative caption.....
  6. yay for skids. but I had no other wagons to battle against. I had to settle for beating a P plater in a Supra.
  7. damn dbl post - that was meant to be an edit.
  8. A little more awake now. Thanks to officials for their time and efforts. Thanks to Reece for jumping in the car to give to me pointers, I may have seemed very confused but your tips through the day made a big difference. Slower is faster but it's hard to resist the temptation to make the tyres scream. Did anyone get a shots or a video of my Stag going around? Would love to see it doing it's thing, hopeful of the one hand break turn that was right.( out of many attempts ) For a first timer everybody made me very welcome. Anybody sitting on the sideline worrying about being a novice or breaking your car - don't be, it's all at your own pace. As for breaking your car - refer back to previous comment re slower/faster. I now just need to sort a new clutch before the next one so I can do those 6k launches . and yes this thread needs more photos and videos.
  9. awesome day, thanks to everyone! To tired to say any more, other then- When's the one next one?
  10. ouch ... Where are you parking ?
  11. Spotted Green C34 S1 Stanmore Rd Stanmore, was in the Fiat so no point in waving. Needs to have the rust under the door mirrors dealt with
  12. Love the line of rally cars, all carrying their battle scars and a few that have made the return journey from Aus. +1, sign me up .
  13. I have been looking at these and thinking the same thing. While messing around with the stereo I noticed the gauges are a single pcb board with one plug in the back. I guess you could workout which wires are for the individual sensors and hack a connection to the Nismo ones if the signals are the same. I am starting to think Defi Gauge setups would be easier, I think Nick has one of these(?).
  14. Iain's (? ) Nismo m35 parked on Rohan St Naremburn this morning.
  15. Thanks for the update Dave. Sorted my fire extinguisher and the car goes in for a once over at Top Secret Next Wednesday. but none of this will help the fact that I have no idea how to rip skids. Looking forward to learning though! maybe a bump will help remind people they need to enter.
  16. Joe Confirmed fitted to Stagea C34 RS4S. Very happy, it's a neat solution and anything I'd make would be ghetto spec. Some dodgy phone camera snaps Seat moves all the way forward no problems, I think it helps that the fire extinguisher is short and fat.
  17. noticed this thread yesterday, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/287007-condensation-in-my-headlights-s/

+1 this . In end it has to match, near enough is not good enough. Most important thing to remember is keep it polite, you get a lot further by polite but firm. I think at times they rely on people not noticing or caring ( the I CBF dealing with it attitude ) . My car had to go back twice to get the finish right. It's still not factory correct but I was happy with the end result. If on the other hand the where doing the wheel as a favour and it's not really under the insurance (and they don't want to help), then you should be able to get a single wheel of Yahoo Japan via Import Monster. nice wheels btw. hmmmm I wonder how they would look in black on C34 S2 Dayz ...
  19. haha care factor about being cool..... I'm middle aged I'm married I have two kids I don't give a sh*t about fashion I don't know how to rip awesome skids . I am the definition of uncool I bought Station Wagon that just happens to have an awesome motor and driveline and IMHO looks great .... It's still a station wagon and I'm still an uncool middle age Dad.
  20. silver 260rs (or dolphin kitted ) , Anzac Bridge this morning @ 8.30, exchanged hellos.
  21. +1 to this , I enjoy 2nd and 3rd gear too much.
  22. Very interested in this , has it been tested in a Stagea C34 Series 2 ? and do you have some left ?
  23. for those with questions about the Texi here is some very helpful info re helmets etc. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/349895-so-youve-never-done-texi-before/
