  1. When I first start the car cold, it seems to miss every 15sec or so until it warms up. Any ideas ?
  2. How about CAPA, they have a good range of oil coolers at good prices.
  3. I'm thinking about changing the callipers on my R32 GTR to bigger ones from a Porsche. Appart from the Engineers Certification etc, are there any hidden problems with brake upgrades. Such as bias or messing up the ABS. Anyone had any experience with this ?
  4. Found out the main guy pushing this block cracking issue thought 600Hp = 300kw.
  5. Thanks. I will try that as I have been setting actual values. So that is an offset from the standard setting then ?
  6. Hooked up the HKS EVC boost controller today, and set it up as per the instructions. Anyway, set it at 1.2bar and every run on the Dyno it just seemed to ramp straight up to 21psi when we would abort the run. If we turned it off the boost would stay at 1bar, so it is plumbed ok (I think). Any suggestions etc ?
  7. Do BodyForm have any. The have adds in HPI usually.
  8. Anyone with 300rwkw or over ? And how long for so far without problems ? (Sorry to harp on, but I just want to be 110% sure)
  9. I think from memory it is 600x300x73. You can get a pic on one of those second hand parts places on the web.
  10. Thanks for the replies. I thought it didn't sound right. I also recently heard the R32 GTR block is thicker in the walls than the 33 and 34.
  11. I've heard a few rumours lately that the RB26DETT block will crack in stock form if tuned to 300rwkw. Any comments / experience would be great. I'm delaying my power up project until I get to the bottom of this.
  12. Make sure the thermal couple is only in the air flow and not touching any of the pipework as well.
  13. yes hungry, contact details would be good.

    Cost

What is the track time expected for the day per driver ? Morgan Park is great value, I organise a day there and it costs around $35 a head. And most people are sick of driving by the end of it. 40 to 50 laps for the really keen. The track is also good. Reminds me more of the street than a race track. No worries with oil surge etc, like if you go to QR.
  15. And I thought you were asking about setting up coil overs. lol.
  16. Try searching under "Launch Control" or something like that.
  17. I had a talk about this with some mechanical engineers, there is both a fixed loss and a percentage loss that make up the total loss.
  18. If the rear end if squirming around it is probably worn bushes rather than hicas. When I was buying my GTR I drove a few that felt like your description.
  19. Neebo is nothing like the track. it is the longer high speed sweepers that cause the problem. The oil goes to one side of the sump and is held there by the G-Force so the oil pick up only breaths air not oil. This is why I have only gone to Morgan Park in Warwick for track days so far. The track is more like a closed road than a race track. No prolonged corners or high speed bends etc.
  20. I called him up, the kit is for the GTS and the GTR. The only difference is that those small mudflap's on the rear quarter don't exist for the GTR. Check out High Performance Imports No.36 for the GTS kit and High Performance Imports No.45 (current) for the GTR kit. I agree about paying a bit extra to get he right kit. I have seen what cheap looks like and I don't want that on my car.
  21. When is it ?
  22. Mines - Does your friend live in Forest Lake. If so I have driven that car, the wide body white GTR R33. I also took him for a spin in mine. It was back when he was deciding what turbo upgrade to go for. I was supposed to organise some cruises with him but lost his number. If you got it can you PM it to me.
  23. My AFM had dry joints on the connector inside it. Re-heated with soldering iron and all is now good.
  24. You could upgrade the pads and see if the problem goes away, if not then do the rotors as well.
  25. I agree with SydneyKid, my R32 GTR started wandering all over the road and a set of upper control arm bushes did the trick. Amazing the difference, you don't realise how worn out something is until you fix it.
