  1. I guess it's for the same reasons as WRX hate, and VL hate. The R33 became the new VL in a way, and a lot of people driving them gave the rest of the community a bad name.
  2. That's very cool Is it a PP? Looks fairly serious. Greg: Low for a 2540 mate, as Dave mentioned above I'd be expecting closer to 240rwkw's with 1.4-1.5bar or so on board. Though I haven't seen a 2540 in a while so going by memory... why did you stop tuning it at that point? Didn't want t run any more boost?
  3. See, I don't think they have. If course they are not going to be to everyones taste, but a lot of people have driven a WRX and assume an STi is same same but different. They're different beasts entirely, and personally I think both are good. A lot of people judge R33's and R33 drivers having not driven one before, but is it right to do so? The R33 is a really good car, but the general perception is that they're a boat and are driven by tossers. There's been a lot of misinformation in this thread and my point is don't judge a book by it's cover. For the record, I owned a Clubsport before the rex, and have had RX-7's, RX-3's, 180SX's, Audi's, Golfs, Falcon's, Commodores and a few others too. I appreciate all good cars for their different abilities and attributes. Too many people in all parts of the car scene are too quick to stick their 2c in when they have no experience with which to make a valid judgement. Also, in regards to the Ken Block thing you commented on, I highly doubt he'd do it so well in a GT-R. The thing was a rally car, and the GT-R was a brief but unsuccessful rally car as far as I'm aware and never was one on the world stage. The track is a different story though.
  4. Haha what a bunch of BS being thrown around in this thread. Sound like a bunch of school children.... I've driven many Skylines, GT-R's included, and have had a 180SX for 6 years (which is my track car), and love Nissans. I bought an '06 STi a few months ago because it is simply the best value car on the market for the money in my opinion (along with Evo's, just depends which you prefer). Take one for a drive before judging it... I was looking for a Lib tuned by STi until I test drove an '04 STi and had to have one. Their ability in stock form is amazing and will embarass a lot of so called performance cars. Judge it once you've driven it.
  5. Another good one. I want that Escort!
  6. Wow, awesome shots Joel. I'll be in touch to grab some mate
  7. Wow, that place has the goods. I'd liek the 935 thanks Dave: Awesome power mate, and a big fat curve too. Nice. I'll go check it out on NS.com
  8. Excellent photo's mate!
  9. C'mon Ash, you know you enjoy my white glow, it drives the girls wild But yes, no doubt the gas was no good but I'm not a big AC fan. I'll only use it if I have to. The Clubbie loved it though, it was like it wasn't even on.
  10. I can't recall ever using it in the 180, even when it was a daily. It killed performance way too much for me... and windows are aaaaaaaalright
  11. Awesome vid Troy, thanks for sharing.
  12. Rip it out Dan, AC in an S13 is balls anyway! 10kg's is still 10kg's... hard to get that loss in other areas.
  13. Ahhh good one, I'll be keen to check them out, especially the S14
  14. Shot you a PM about your 3071 Ian
  15. I was running HC+ front and DS2500 rear and liked the combo, but then again my rears were quite undersized compared to the fronts (stock single piston S13 calipers rear, Skyline 4 pots up front).
  16. Sorry Ian, another question... Do you know what section on NS the car you're referring to in this post is located: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4594093 I can't seem to locate it.
  17. Thanks, shall do. It also says something about them having a summer sale on the site, so it may be an automatically adjusted price. I'll ask Aaron though, just need the dollar to continue this sweet rise
  18. Thanks a lot for the Ian, very much appreciated mate. It seems that perhaps their pricing may have changed slightly, or maybe I'm missing something?? From what I'm entering into the site, it comes up with this: 3076 Manifold Manifold HPC coating Downpipe Tial Wastegate (unsure if this is just for one, which I'm assuming it is as the price doesn't change between twin and single 'gate options) = $3474 + $238 shipping US But it's the extra 1k from the Aus government that is the killer... Might have to confirm with Full Race on pricing if I decide to go that way.
  19. I would have to disagree... 787B no doubt! But the Quattro exhaust does sound fantastic banging off the trees
  20. That would be great if you wouldn't mind Ian. I forgot about the pesky GST and import taxes... haven't had to fork out for those for imported goods in a while! With those tossed in you may be right mate, will be good to get a comparative cost. Cheers, Dane
  21. See, I don't actually think it would work out much cheaper doing it here Ian. My (rough) calculations are as follows: 6 Boost Manifold - $1000 - $1100 or thereabouts (not sure on the twin scroll) 3071/3076 - $2000 Tial gate - $4-500 We're already at around $3500 and don't have a dump pipe or the second wastegate. I actually think the full kit is decent in price in comparison if you could get it for a bit of $4k when the exchange rate improves a touch. That's what's made me think of it, apart from your build, is the price compared to a full kit here. There's really not much in it and you get the best setup going around
  22. Beautiful, thanks Duncan.
