Multi-Gauge Display ; What Are The Option?
CrimsonLey replied to cobrAA's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
^Thanks, mate. So far no display offerss a AFR read-out which is what I'm really after. I like AEM's wide/narrow band gauge so I'll probably purchase that. -
Back on the subject of racing the GTR. What are some good engine supporting mods that I can do to help the engine longevity? For example, oil sump, ceramic coat the block, mine's cam baffles, Tomei oil orifice, etc. I want to keep everything stock but I do want to add lots of supporting mods.

Multi-Gauge Display ; What Are The Option?
CrimsonLey replied to cobrAA's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Bump. I have a BNR32 and I'm looking for a one-stop shop multi-function display. Is there a display on the market that can also read A/F ratio? I'm not fan to gauges at all so I prefer a display. -
Nice work, Robbie. Your build gives me a lot of ideas for my 32-R. You're right about changing the clutch cylinders. Mine gave out about a month ago. I had to replace them with OEM. Ironically, I'm probably going to replace them with NISMO items like you did, lol.

Differences between rb26 blocks (r32/r33/r34)
CrimsonLey replied to Evan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks again, mate. :-) So with question1, there's no issues with a 32-R N1 block fitting into the R34 ATESSA, tranny, etc? 2. Whats the difference between a 32-R N1 and 34-R Nur (N1 engine from what I read)? -
Differences between rb26 blocks (r32/r33/r34)
CrimsonLey replied to Evan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
bump. 10 years later. I have a couple of questions and I don't want to start a new thread: 1) Can a r32 N1 block fit into a 34-R? 2) Does the 34-R RB26 have stronger internals, CAMs, or other machine components than a 32-R engine? I'm not talking about differences in sensors or other electronics as I'm aware about the coils, CAS, etc. 3) Do 32-R N1 engines have better/same turbo chargers as a 34-R block? -
^I can get them fairly cheap in Japan. Believe it or not but I have a set of front R34 Brembos before I found out that I would have to drill a larger hole. lol. I watched the videos, mate. Thanks for the info.

^^ You saying you competed in morokhanas? I'm not sure what Vic SAU days are. I definitely want to setup the GTR for maximum grip while still maintaining the originality of it. Thanks for the build-list. ATM, I'm think about doing a simple 33-R brembo upgrade as opposed to anything to crazy.

Thanks, mate. I've done autoX'ing in the past and loved it but I suppose it's not as popular in Oz like it is in the US. I remember a lot of younger guys were autoXing and usually the older drivers were doing HPDEs

I've been searching for the past 15-20 minutes trying to find more info about motorkhana builds for 32-Rs. I have a 89 BNR that I'm going to send over the USA eventually. It's very much stock except for a few bolt-ons, etc so I don't want to modify it much (stock 32-Rs are getting rare). I decided to run motorkhanas because of the ability to have fun while not causing too much stress on my old GTR. From searching on SAU, I see that hardly anyone races their GTR in motorkhana. I found more that GTS enjoy the sport as opposed to Rs. It seems that more GTRs are rally'ing, road racing, etc. I don't mind road racing (HPDEs in USA) in 'stock/street' class either but motorkhana is a lot cheaper and more accessible so I'm leaning more towards that. Is the GTR a bit of overkill for motorkhana? Should I just focus more on a road race build?

Just found this. Very funny. I wonder how it compares almost 10 years later.

I hate how that goes beyond the sides of the rear bumper. Is there a company that makes a diffuser that doesn't spread wide like that?
