  5. hi guys, im looking for a decent set of car stands to buy in sydney area, any ideas? regards
  6. as of today, ive taken the plunge & picked up my block, pistons, rods etc for my rb30dett build (after 4months of decision making on which way to go) i just cant go past the results RIPS have attained with their rb30's over the years - i always want more power besides, if keir wilsons well respected gtr is good enough for an rb30 then so is my gtr
  7. so have u come a verdict as yet...is it going to be an rb26 or rb30 for donkeypunch? i've always wanted to try a donkeypunch just never had the opportunity
  8. thanks ISL33P - btw he is a really nice guy to deal with
  9. yes, this is my story moving forward if anyone asks about the rb30 i had a vl turbo a few years back, stock with 15psi & i blew off a new m3 with sequential box (what a laugh that was) in all seriousness though, the only decent thing about that vl was the engine & i'd tell me mates "this is a nissan engine"...the rest of the car was pffft!
  10. i just spent 90min reading this thread thoroughly - i am also wanting to go with an rb30dett BUT im sure i feel the same as some of the gtr owners here "dropping a vl block in a gtr wtf!?" anyway, ive come to the conclusion that i'm going rb30 for more driveability & torque (why not) - it can only be a step in the right direction, also realising that the bottom end is just an air pump & that the top end is where the power will be made. more air though means more potential to deliver more power here is a graph of my current rb26dett with gtss setup @ 22psi which drops off to 20psi (tomei pon cams type a, no head work) - can somebody pm 'AL' to jump on this thread so that he can post his graph for comparison of his rb30dett...lets see the difference here! re. all these ppl laying sh!t on paul 'dirtgarage' ...he has been around gtr's longer than most of us & has personally helped me with my clutch, fuel pump, drag racing etc - i even bartered his slicks for a case of coopers green, how many ppl would do that
  11. email sent ariel! steve, you added your post @ 2am in the morning (u must be dreaming about gtr mod's )
  12. hi guys, i have tomei type a poncams & i am looking for something larger - also happy to swap for my cams regards, marko 0404 884 876
  13. hey paul - was the T04Z or GTRS turbo's modified in any way? ive always liked the idea of running twins on a gtr - the 2 'balls' of the godzilla!
  14. steve - i have some pics from shanef on his billet girdle/adapter kit so hopefully he will post them here
  15. that is something u should never admit & publicise lol - just taking the piss
  16. paul, you raise a valid point about crd. it is interesting to see how prices vary across workshops that specialise in gtr's - i guess that comes with the package, i.e. owning a high performance car incurs high performance costs
  17. what a beast - congrats on a nice setup im really stuck in the middle whether to go for a built rb30 or rb26...
  18. rips look like a good mob! im starting to get into these larger capacity gtr setups
