  1. My time was worth it because now I know a lot more about how it all works from when I first started. Also we can sit back and say we got the car to where it is now.
  2. We can easily test this with my car as I will have the Window Switch. So you can play around with what RPM it turns on and off at.
  3. Haha possibly but we did it so I guess I saved $400 because we spent about $50 on parts
  4. Update on my situation: Turbo is finally fitted after I borrowed a blow torch and heated the copper to red hot then bent it into place very slowly. Dump pipe/Cat was a little harder to fit as the rear housing is a bit thicker. This was easily fixed with a bit of pulled on the exhaust etc Now slowly putting the baby back together and making sure I have no bolts or nuts left over. Ohh and because I finally got the water line on I forgot about the oil drain hose lol it's to long so I will have to find a minni saw to cut it some how
  5. Why does the rear housing have to be modded for flex?
  6. I just railed her and married her!!!! Mik ended up having to move the tune forward to Sunday so I won't make it unfortunately DVS was going to tune Friday but he has Wakefield on Saturday and has a few things to do. Troy the shop closed before I finished work so I couldn't be bothered waiting another day an loosing sleep for another night Thanks for the info Mik and if any events get organised in the next few weeks I'll be there spitting flames out my cat
  7. ITS DONE AHHHH SO EXCITED!!!!! Managed to have one last go and it fitted ohh god yes
  8. Mitch after this I will have the confidence to build you a turbo haha
  9. Lol I dont think its the first time I have called him Milk.... To be honest I wondered why he called himself D.I.Y Milk
  10. Okay will do it should be fine then I think I will keep as much copper pipe as I can. Just bend that as close and low as possible then have as close to a straight bit of hose coming off the banjo as possible. Hope this works because I already put in my time off for Friday Jez and I cant wait any longer haha
  11. This is perfectly fine? They are going attach a barbed fitting to the banjo for me. Then I can run a hose from there to where I cut the copper pipe. I will be using some heat proof stuff over the hose so it should be fine. Just don't want it to melt while im driving
  12. *Edit* Managed to speak to the guy who did yours Milk He is going to knock it together for me this afternoon for $20 Spoke to the guys who have the heat sleeve and they are going to do that for me as well for $20 Should be able to get it all sorted by this afternoon Now just to find something to cut this pipe
  13. So I didnt read this line properly and I just went to Enzed and was stuck there trying to work out what I needed. So do I cut my part off and they screw one into its place?
  14. Haha okay I will use a hose clamp! Will call everyone at lunch time and source all my parts Thanks again mate when I see you out at the next event I will buy you a cold one
  15. The pipe cutting tools are these cheap and easy to obtain from say bunnings? Edit: Also with the barbed end I am guessing you do not need clamps on it because its barbed
  16. Your a f**king legend!! That picture just summed up my life lol I currently am at work looking like this
  17. If I just cut a section out so I don't have to run it to the plenum it should be fine? I was thinking of cutting it close to the banjo and then close to where it just starts to wrap around the engine. This way I don't have to stress about getting in behind the engine.

I really hope I get the car sorted before this weekend so I can come
  19. Might speak to Enzed on my lunch break and see what they have to offer. I am sure there would be some high temp hose I could use. Milk what exactly did you use the barb fitting for I do see where its needed?
  20. Holy shit that sounds so simple. So correct me if im wrong guys I cut the pipe as it bends around the block and fit a high pressure insulated hose with 2 clamps to it. then connect the other end of the hose to the section of the pipe that meets up with the turbo with another 2 clamps? This should hold the pressure and withstand the heat?
  21. Wait so I cut a section of the line out and fit the pipe on then just chuck a rubber hose in between those 2 sections? The hose won't melt being that close to the block and turbo?
  22. I will get that all checked once I get this line sorted Going to buy a blow torch of some sort today and fingers crossed it will turn the pipe to butter so I can bend this curve out *EDIT* Just got some info off the ACT guys and one of them has cut the copper line and used some insulated hose with a few clamps on it to get it in the correct place. The line runs 15psi so this should hold up. Anyone done this and had trouble or not had trouble?
  23. Just checked this out and I never got an oil drain adapter?
  24. Just had a look at looks pretty hard to get to so I just don't know hey. Will try again tomorrow I guess might buy a blow torch and heat it up
