  1. hollandia = webasto Webasto are notorious for being pricey but also for being good quality see here, prices include labour... (just a guide) http://www.supertrim.net.au/sunroofs/index.html then read this and see if youre as keen as i am http://www.benzworld.org/forums/v-class/1556605-diy-sunroof-639-vito.html
  2. for the numbers i gave you, aparrently just -1.6 degrees required
  3. Ive heard its possible to squeeze in this combo with just a lip roll... F 19x9 +30 245/35/19 R 19x11 +36 295/30/19
  4. if you hadnt donated your hard earned money to insurance scum, you couldve fixed the car and still had money spare. a rating means absolute f**k all when all they do is avoid paying any money back
  5. Just wondering if anyone has an aftermarket sunroof in their V35, and whether its any good? Its the one thing i miss most about long drives, having the roof open.. so im considering getting a non-standard installed. Preferably glass and manual operation... but without looking like a boat hatch screwed to the roof I know Webasto are probably best, but too pricey...
  6. I dont post full pics very often.... Nice day out with a mate
  7. Andrew- the calculation is: 757,000 divided by the number of days it ran for = the number of people per day that had their time wasted by "who dares to use the newest drug wins" assuming it was the same people that attended every day, the divided number is the true number
  8. 757,000 spectators for tour down under? more like 1000 spectators and 756,000 people forced to wait for a bunch of lycra clad rule ignorers to get the f**k out of the way...
  9. na a rubber supplies joint. $60 once off is better than thousands in constant plastic or fibreglass repairs. been there, done that, waste of money
  10. for those people who understand wheel sizing it can be that easy.... for others, they need a "how to"
  11. nice work ever notice how these uk based shows always interview guys who cant answer questions with facts? haha "the v spec has extra torque but i dont know how they did it..."
  12. looks like the owner would have the best info... but yes.... you can remove the regular plastic auto base and install pretty much any manual gearboot with some fiddling and mount mods. And yes, the ball can be mounted to the locking pin rather than the selector shaft. shifter looks too long in my opinion.... and i'd say it would be quite easy to bent the locking shaft with spirited tiptronic usage...
  13. just noticed i hadnt gone into detail on this one... THIS is a convex wheel. the spokes stick out further than the rim lip, which makes it harder to measure if using my instructions THIS is a concave wheel. the spokes across the face do not stick out past the rim lip.
  14. channel 73 everybody. get on it!
  15. or if you get bored find a pm35 at the right ride height and follow this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/406593-this-is-how-to-measure-your-car-for-new-wheels/
  16. All depends on ride height. when lowering the 35 platform, the rear camber increases much quicker the further you drop it. lowering an inch doesnt do much for tucking the top of the rim, but lowering 2 inches gives you enough room for an extra 20mm of offset 10 inch wide rear with +45 offset will be almost flush at 1 inch lowered (a little outside the guard) or almost perfect flush at 1.5" lowered but will need a slight tyre stretch..... 9.5 inch wide rear will need 40mm offset to have the same amount of flushness front, 10 inch wide with +45 will foul on the strut. most available wheels are 8.5 wide with +35 offset which will be 5-10mm inside the guard at around standard ride height does the pm35 come with plastic arch flares?
  17. good to see the areas I call home have the lowest rate per 1000 people.... in those crime maps you do get specific suburbs within councils that keep the numbers up... the rule of thumb i would use is: stay clear of housing trust areas and places with lots of lowered commodores
  18. the crawler just pointed out an issue i wasnt aware of. all i heard was that the 2 trim panels werent interchangeable trying to avoid buying an aftermarket panel for a different kind of install... if i can keep the a/c board working by tucking a board from the original stereo behind the dash... i will Must be a sedan panel in charcoal colour Thanks Sleek but any scratches or marks outside of the factory stereo buttons are not wanted.
  19. im looking to buy a factory stereo trim panel to suit series 1 v35 sedan. it only needs the a/c buttons and board installed, dont need the head unit, am/fm/disc buttons, or pocket/screen as i'll be recycling my own either in adelaide or requiring freight here ta im looking for one in black/charcoal, not silver
