  1. black 34gtt with gold wheels @ the ramsgate grey 34gtt with gold wheels @ tennyson leaving west lakes white 34gtt with gold wheels at north haven all 4pm onwards
  2. for brake shoes, talk to Nik at Bursons, Daws Road, Edwardstown.
  3. theyre both from the tv coverage of the final big pile-up.. i want to find footage of the accident that happened a minute before that, where the front wheel was disabled
  4. just watched the last bathurst worth watching... 1992.... we all know it. the thing ive always wanted to see is how Jim Richards bent the LHF corner of the GTR in the first place. Was there any amateur footage taken? And was that shell ever repaired or did it get scrapped? im sure it'll be on SAU or google somewhere but ive been searching for an hour and cant find it....
  5. +1 for "dont do it" and as mentioned before, the stripes would have to continue past the wheels. doing them just between the wheel arches doesnt flow properly. if anything it makes the car look un-lowered the only side stripes i have ever liked is the old Tommi Makinnen Evo stripes, level with the door handle
  6. theres something about that esplanade, being a long road people seem to want to drive fast or tailgate you. i went down it last week and had to pull over a few times to let the lineup go by. after seeing a few tractors towing boats along there the last thing i'd want to do is move quickly
  7. Theres plenty of this scene with other subtitles on youtube my fave is "hitler gets defected" or theres "hitler loses at gran turismo" or "hitler reacts to chev badges on a holden"
  8. at least puddles speedo is out in the negative direction. years ago i found out the hard way that my car was showing 100 on the speedo but was actually doing 111 on the road... *flash*
  9. the fan motors can burn out... 95 degrees? is that at the rad input or thermostat? my car always runs at 2/3 to 3/4 on the gauge, replaced everything except for the gauge itself. installed my own thermo fan setup with a 78 degree switch between the rad output and thermostat... 78 degrees is at the 2/3 to 3/4 mark on the gauge, which was checked as being 78 degrees with a scantool aswell.
  10. yeah as mentioned it is usually one of two things. either the thrust bearing (a small bering that takes the load of the friction plate - usually dies alot earlier if you choose to sit at the lights with your foot on the clutch the whole time)...... or the input shaft bearings which die from aggressive gearbox use. a much more expensive thing to fix.
  11. blue 34 gtr with polished wheel lip @ seaford/moana esplanade, thumbs up all round
  12. blue 34gtr diagonal/sturt intersection gave a thumbs up which may have looked like i was flipping the bird... sorry
  13. its an aftermarket rocker switch. previous owner couldve had all sorts of things wired into the car prior to selling.... in my previous cars, i would tend to leave the switches there but take everything else before selling
  14. On mine, the switch does all that UNLESS i press the accellerator to the floor (100% open throttle)
  15. regarding the supercharger sound, you can always upgrade to an electronic clutch pulley so that the s/c can be turned off... i had this setup on a previous car, with the SC constantly running i got 250km from a tank of petrol, with it switched off i got 400km. it also had an automatic setting with a vacuum operated switch that would automatically engage the the SC when the sensor detected a certain level of vacuum (or acceleration load) within the inlet manifold. So at the switch on my dash, i could leave the SC and its noise on all the time.... turn the SC off to save fuel and kill the noise it made.... or have it kick in automatically . i love SCs
  16. i saw that being driven by a girl at the bay a while back. looked to be in pretty average condition
  17. rubber garden edge? nope. wrong person
  18. Subaru lost it from the introduction of the bugeye lancers... evo 9 was the last one that counts. both have gone towards shopping trolley styling after those points, which is why people dont buy them. but then again i was referring to factory styling. a few mods can make even a mazda 121 bubble look aggressive
  19. lancers and wrxs have turned into womens cars. nothing aggressive about their look whatsoever
  20. smokey, didnt know and dont care. i do it happily and no, no extra holes. we get the original holes modded. non reversable. 120 to 114.3 requires just a slight oversize of bolt holes, and an offset sleeve to reduce the stud pcd. not visible at all. merc 112 to 114.3 requires only reseating the stud taper. no insert. nothing visible at all.
  21. the only rack you should ever put on a car...
  22. you can get PCDs redrilled to 114.3 to suit nissan..... ive had it done to many sets of wheels with no issues
  23. yeah orange is a bit "fast and furious" dont you think? haha avoid that one Matt colours are all the rage at the moment, but will soon be outdated. Matt black is getting a bit overdone now too. Matt white or matt grey are my fave's, but depends on choice of wheels. Carbon wrap is a bit cheesy for a whole car but good for detailing. I'd personally have a look thru the range of 3M vinyl, they have some crazy textures to choose from now.... even brushed aluminium look...
  24. Id have to agree that the BMW M5 of most years is the model to have. power and luxury all in one. Saw a nice black one yesterday with big dish wheels giving its V10 a squirt
