  1. as if youd colour code a r31! 80s goodness matches the car!
  2. yes.. pull everything apart and clean every part induvidually for true cleaness, and paint stuff like the rocker cover a nice colour, nothing too bright otherwise an ignorant cop might assume its done up. taking everything out and respraying the bay is good too..
  3. get yourself a pod, a set of extractors, a 2.5' exhaust, and that should see it running better, and will take heaps of flogging provided its not in shit condition. then you can bolt on VLT gear, out in a vlt motor, put in a rb20, 25, or 26, or 25 heads on the 3l block, CA if its a pinny (engine xmember), plenty of potential in these cars, which is great seeing the purchase price is about the same as a set of chromies. and there are some insanely clean r31 engine bays out there too.. i have literally hundereds of pics of r31s wait for DVS JET to post his engine bay

  14. dizzy yes ecu no, it can work but its not worth the effort due to the different pumps. 31 ecus are cheap as chips anyway
  15. bolger only one cause leighton fine spun. smoke isnt everything and bolger surely didnt have the best line.
  16. related question- a motor being stored a long time, should the oil be drained to prevent crystilisation? I imagine water will corrode/rust. Id say empty the water, but I dunno
  17. why wouldnt yuou just buy a 34?
  18. thats awesome! does it hae a bit of history or is it just painted like the PJ cars?
  19. im part of a group making a se clubman. they made one before I came along, and the finished car still is around. its a basic setup, live rear, adjustable coilovers, silvertop 20v with a t50. incredible! id love one myself one day. if you do build one, I can give you some advice on what were doing with ours. cortina frount end, corolla ke70 steering column, ect. there are lots of books and websites on it too.
  20. theres that purple r33 gtr with gold wheels, its a japanese one I think though
  21. RB30Es are made to last over 400000km apparently
  22. yep sounds like the alternators not doing its job as well as it should. if its not that, try whacking the dashboard. could be a loose connection.
  23. if its a GTS1 its the same spoiler on all s1 and s2 silos- very common. youll find on on the r31 forums
  24. I really dont think its from the car, but it does resemble the outside half of a brake caliper. no way it would just fall clean off though, and they are usually curved a bit.
