You need to take off the inner guard of the front left wheel, then you can get to it piece of piss. Then unbolt it and bobs your uncle. I did it before, its not hard. Look for screws and remove them, easy!

The head does fit, but major mods are needed. A 25de head fits on a 30 block rather sweetly with only drilling for a pulley tensioner needed. I would use the money and get a 25, i myself have a rb20 and would kill to put a 25 in. But a rb30DET would be rather nice, and for 5 grand you might be able to do it, depends on the internals coz the block should only cost $50 to $100 and a rb25 no more that $1000. My friend is doing this and putting it into his EH holden.

Look at seris V rx7 injectors, they are 550's and the right impedance. They shouldnt be much more than $50 each, just get them checked out before putting them in.

Iwells your right, if the engine was offered by the manufactor in that model of car, eg skyline then you dont need an engineers, however you do need to upgrade the brakes to suite the engine specs from manufactor. Thats what i did on my 32.

Dont know about idling it, but i covered the fuse box, battery and afm&pod with a plastic bag. then blasted it with engine degreaser and a high pressure hose. Also about the timming belt, dont bother with the brand names, its not worth spending big bucks for something that does the EXACT same thing, they dont really last longer either. A lot of time and research has gone into the rubber of timming belts. So dont waste your hard earned cassh.

I'm with james, there are far better places to start than a skyline forum. Not to many civic friendly folk on here....myself included.
