  1. I got the plazmaman manifold and tb for my 34, retains the AAC. Wasn't too bad to fit. Can be a little pricey considering performance gains weren't evident for me, but looks a billion times better
  2. Crank trigger kit is ~$2000 which would make me strongly reconsider upgrading ECU
  3. Would this timing problem discredit the advantages of going to the haltec
  4. This is what scares me when I think about the money I have just spent on new turbo, manifold and now ECU to come
  5. I may be wrong but I'm sure my 34 with PFC has Z32 afm and 2 map sensors? I know 1 sensor is used for the boost gauge but why would my PFC be seeing both afm and map?
  6. Would the launch control system used by the Haltec use timing retard etc and be considered safer than the *bee-r?
  7. I would save a bit more skipping the e-flex gear, what is the io expander? I'm not sure what this 'random cough' with the PFC is, I haven't experienced it, although I have t got anything to compare it to either. Is the Haltec PP is plug and play then I wonder what would have been done to my original wiring to fit the apexi? I would need to revert the wiring to standard to fit the Haltec?
  8. Well I have seen Jem sell the platinum pro for $1800 so I should get away with under $2k by the time I get any extras and sell my PFC. I don't understand that it says it has an 'internal map' upto 1.5 bar boost but I can buy an 'external map' for upto 3 bar .. Surely both sensors would mount and read pressure the same, just with a different pressure range?
  9. The closest servo that sells e85 is over 500km away. E85 is not something I am willing to do, but if the ECU is compatible it is a bonus for future proofing my build. Would $2k be enough for Haltec after selling PFC? (Not including tune)
  10. Realistically what would I pay for the ECU and recommended sensors? And what would I get for my PFC and Z32 AFM? If it ends up costing me under $2k and I get launch control, flat shift, get to ditch the afm with support for e85 in the future as well as better resolution and logging then I am alright with the outlay, but are my expectations realistic?
  11. I am the op not djr81 If getting rid of the AFM in preference of a map is recommended then I am all for it, although I do not understand how it is an advantage if everybody says it is then I will believe them If somebody wishes to explain then I would be grateful (I understand afm could be restriction to intake but I thought since map can only read pressure not flow it would be an advantage to have a AFM) Jem are the ones initially suggesting I get the Haltec, but I am quite surprised that most people are in agreement I should ditch the PFC. This could have been an expensive thread
  12. Hi, I have a R34 GTT running an apexi power FC computer, After mentioning that I am going to a top mount Forced performance 3076 turbo I was told I should upgrade to a Haltec Platinum Pro. E85 is not an option for me so there is no advantage there. However the 2-stage launch control and flat shifting features of the Haltec interest me. My boost is currently controlled by the PFC hand controller, but if I got the Haltec I would need to install another form of EBC? I have also seen the map sensor only supports 1.5 bar of boost? What advantage would the Haltec offer other than more tuning resolution (32x32 vs PFC 16) and the ability to ditch the Z32 afm Appreciate any input and discussion
  13. Power FC uses fuel cut, Power FC PRO uses ignition cut. The way i understand fuel cut can cause lean condition but ignition cut can damage turbo and exhaust system. Is cutting both a better idea for rev limiter? (Obviously no good for launch control) or would it be a very harsh power cut?
  14. would the pro version of the PFC which has in built 2-stage launch control still be considered such an abuse to the engine? if not what is different between the method used by the *bee-r and PFC?
  15. sorry for possible thread hijack but.. I also Have R34 GTT with Apexi PFC (Standard not PRO - so no spark cut or 2 stage launch control) I am interested in getting a *Bee-R mostly for 2-stage and the 'hektic sounds' but i have some concern over possible engine damage :s
  16. Hi, I have an R34 GTT and I would like se interior work done. I want to get the roof lining, sun visors and door cards re-trimmed in black and well as the rear seats in black leather, but I'm not sure what to do with the front seats. How difficult is it to modify gtr seat rails to fit? Or would I be better or getting my GTT seats re upholstered and bolstered to give more support? If I went with the gtr seats I would likely have to get them reupholstered to match the rest or the interior anyway I already bought a pair of bride low max seats but don't want to go down that path. (If anybody is keen on then PM me)
  17. I have a gt35 core from xr6t, no housings tho
