  1. Hi, I have a rb25det neo currently undergoing a round of mods, previously dyno'd at 300kw hoping a set of poncam a and exhaust manifold will see 330rwkw. My turbo is a gt3076 internally gated, I'm looking to put it on a 6 boost twin scroll t3 external manifold, what size rear housing would be recommended? Also how much power should I be able to get out of my .5 ar compressor housing?
  2. Nobody around here seems to like the ffp.. I also have a neo and put on a plazmaman ffp and throttle body, mostly for a tidier engine bay and easier access to plugs. Can't say I can feel any performance difference ( don't have any before/after graphs) but I definitely don't regret it, ALOT tidier.

  4. unfortunately there is no replies in that thread so it just adds to my confusion. I have spent hours trying to find information but still dont know what to do. is the rb Neo spitting shims even a real problem? i have only 'heard of people hearing about it'.. no first hand experiences .
  5. I have heard the shim ontop of bucket is susceptible to spitting shins out above 7.5k Tom especially when using a more aggressive camshaft
  6. Hi, EDIT: Found my answer that they wont fit, so what is the easiest way to get away from shim ontop of the bucket? i will be running tomei Poncams, supertech duel valve springs and standard Valves.
  7. Hi, i will be fitting a set of tomei type B poncams (260deg 9.15mm) to my rb25det neo soon, but im having a hard time finding suitable valve springs. Can anybody tell me if the standard valve springs are single or duel springs? will i need to change valve spring guides if i go from single to duel or vise versa? Also what is the general consensus on reusing retainers, collets and cam hold down bolts?

  9. Saw this failure on my mates Mazda after we put a new wp on, we went with manufacturing defect but would be interested in other thoughts. (Mechanic by trade so I'm confident in the workmanship )
  10. Not required but recommended. Especially considering the old ones will be out and have 100,000km on them..
  11. FR Sport only have the supertech for the neo turns out i can get the ferrea for a comparable price, Might stick to them
  12. Hey, I am about to order some tomei type b cams for my R34Gtt (260x9.15) I am having trouble finding suitable valve springs and retainers. I would like to stay with tomei but cannot even find any springs/retainers. Ferrea are very expensive. I have also seen 'supertech' but have not heard any feedback And also 'performance valve springs' which I have only heard good feedback, but even the name sounds off putting, and these are only single springs where the others are all duel?

I could refit it but I would rather leave it off if possible, really trying to get a clean engine bay, I have an adjustable sard fpr so I was under the impression the standard items were of no use.. I also just purchased a plazmaman fuel rail which I think eliminates the other damper mounted on the standard rail. If this is the cause could it be rectified by fitting a check valve or adjusting the fpr
  15. i have only recently noticed it. although i have also recently installed a plazmaman manifold where i removed one of the fuel dampners/regulators, so im not sure if this could have an effect.
  16. Haven't been using any coolant so I'm hoping it's not a head/gasket problem. I have ordered an inline fuel gauge and cooling system pressure tester so I can do those test when they arrive. Also the Pcv valve hose running to the manifold gets sucked shut at idle, then puffs out like normal at the slightest crack of the throttle, the Pcv valve has been cleaned and is functioning so I'm thinking the hose may have perished and is too soft.
  17. Hi all, I have been having a few problems with my R34 gtt. If I leave the car off for 4+ hours it will either a) start then stall and start back up fine or b) start then run rough for a second and then it's fine. I have tried priming the fuel pump a few times with the ignition before starting bit it didn't fix the problem. Also if I leave it idle for a minute then give it a rev it will blow a lot of white smoke for a second I have recently gas tested the exhaust and it was very high for hydrocarbons (unburnt fuel) I am thinking the injectors may be leaking but after some confirmation, who would people recommend to rebuild them? They are nismo 770cc.
  18. so how am i able to use the factory alarm system? I have only a key, no key remote or anything,. Also would having an PFC have any bearing on this?
