  1. As others have said, only available in left hand drive. They are available for import in the UK. I went to the docks one day with a mate over there and saw some waiting to be collected and was surprised at how big they were. They were more GTO width. I have only seen the one in the F&F and imagined it to be FTO size but it was more GTO size.
  2. Quite why someone would want to ring the Castlemaine brewery when you had lost your keys, I am not sure. Unless Bris was minding them Went and saw bluey yesterday (as I also aptly named it) and went for a spin today. Very happy. Finance applied for. Who do I bump into 10 minutes later, Nigel, down at Chadstone trying to palm off a tasty bluebird on me complete with gas bottle in the passenger seat! Have to wait until Monday but at this stage, all systems are green.
  3. Right, off you come from the "preferred house sitters" list
  4. You were the only person I thought of so I mentioned your name but it wasnt that. I think it began with "h" though. Bec Sorry, sadly not. Wish it was. ctjet I am not ashamed to say most of my friends are on here. Everyone I have met from here knows that as I emigrated at 23 to be with my girlfriend so all friends and family are in the UK. Couldnt ask for a more diverse bunch of great people.
  5. Hi all I had a call earlier today from someone who has found a persons wallet. Reason I am posting this is virtually everyone I know, is through here other than my girlfriends family. My mobile no. was in this wallet amongst some others so the finder was trying to do the right thing and return it to its owner. The wallet has no cash in it but just personal effects. The finder thought the owner of the wallet might be of The land of goat sphincter rings origin but there wasnt a drivers licence. If it is someone from here, PM me and I will give you the guys phone number. I honestly have no recollection of giving my number to a The land of goat sphincter rings guy but anything is possible. It was found in North Fitzroy last night. The only other people who would be scribbling my number down to keep in their wallet is one of the cars I have sold/ have for sale or possibly a hitman who is going to ring me and ask for my address! Anyway, hope it is someones from here so it can be returned.
  6. Doesnt really mean anything now but was very loosely based around a business idea which became aee.com.au but aee isnt available. Looked good at the time too.
  7. Hi all I bought these number plates in 2004 but now have no need for them. They are brand new, never fitted to a car and include slimline plastic covers. They are the small style plates. They are Vic plates by the way and if the bloke from Tanzania is reading this, I do not want $1500 for them and they dont need putting in a container at the docks. I will put them at $490 but if anyone has a better reasonable offer, PM me. Many thanks
  8. I have imported a car but its a lot easier when the other country speaks the same first language as you and if you can do it all yourself. i.e see it that end, put it on the boat, meet it at customs. By doing this, you minimise the time that anyone else would have the opportunity to tamper with it and also ensure the car is what you want in the first place. I wouldnt attempt a Japanese import on my own personally though.
  9. There are a lot more around locally now than there used to be and the prices are good. Speak to SS8_Gohan for R34 import tips as he has done it. Personally I would buy locally now as there is a good selection.
  10. There is also legislation for selling on someones behalf. May not be applicable in this case (dont know Vic Roads fully) but I am selling a Merc for my g/f's step dad who is the executor of an estate. He can legally sign the sale docs as the executor. Agree there is possibly something odd in this case though
  11. Oh to have weekday internet use again James He seemed pleasant enough from the little I overheard of him talking near the drag strip.
  12. Not a bad article at all. I wonder if he was the guy who was racing at the Calder Rally Masters in the ute?
  13. LOL! Thanks Dezz and awesome pics Joel
  14. Superb pics James I didnt see any from the track though. Somebody must have some pics of the blue body rolling, back of the field, automatic SKOOB!
  15. Excellent pics Joel
  16. It is very nice. G/f's brother has worked there for a while now and used to work at Laurent. He is the 6'6 bloke but knows me as "Pome Al"
  17. I did a 4 year Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems Management at Bournemouth Uni in the UK. That was 2000-2004. My third year was a placement which I did here in Melbourne for a software development firm. Have been working as an IT Manager since leaving uni for a truck company in Dandenong and about to start a new role as an IT Business Manager in the next few weeks.
  18. Go and see Leon or Charlie in the Church St Deli in Brighton. Or if you have a few bucks spare, go to the Pantry next door. Parking out the front on the angle is all free. Couple of others inc Laurent and a few more further up. Deli gets my vote though.
  19. Thanks SAU for another top weekend. Massive thanks to the officials as well who gave up there time to help us loonies have a superb time. Good to meet a few more people inc several rex guys, AGE etc. Also Nigel and Karl from Racingline. Dezz didnt realise who you were until later this morning but definately not what I expected so good meeting you and your girlfriend. Ash and Bris donig the team proud with the drinking. James apologies for giving away the two sombraros to the two chicks My car seems to be running OK but I kept getting flat spots on acceleration after turning so I think the fuel was moving so much in the tank it was starving it. I was running with about 5 litres at the end to try and off set my bad driving and slow car Biggest improvement of the weekend as I said to Snowy was letting us drivers drive the skid pan courses in the morning untimed. Massive help and so much easier than watching Chris or Snowy do it like November. Please keep that feature if possible. Overall a top weekend and an excellent bunch of guys and girls. Thanks SAU and Racingline.
  20. I have my pyschological hat on as the actual one had the wooden draw string thing chewed off by one cat and the other cat has commandeered it as a bed since
  21. AGE have PM'd you. Will be joining your meet as planned.

    Soccer

    Well done to the Aussies.
  23. I have been looking at cars like this for several months including Evo's and skylines. For an STI, this is market possibly $32k but it is up to the seller what he posts it for and what he accepts guys. Even 2000 model STI's command big $$ still. Only reason I am not enquiring is I anticipate doing about 30K a year driving and want something for a few years that I can take on track so will most likely go Evo. Good luck with the sale mate.

    Soccer

That is very much the norm in "soccer". Some spectacular ones in the UK, then they all come together for the World Cup and bash the foreign fans! :laughing-smiley-014:
  25. Sorry Mav, you are a sound guy but I do agree here with Sky. For a car to do a quick dab of the brakes and let someone in (not that they have to as it is their right of way), it is fairly easy and also quick to pick up speed. A truck however, can't scrub speed off quickly nor pick it up again. The amount of claims we have here against our trucks tied to similar situations is astonishing. I dont pretend our guys are great drivers as many are not but we put our better drivers in our B-Doubles. We have had occasions where these guys leave a safe gap and cars cut in front of them at lights, on the freeway and it falls under our driver didnt leave enough room because he has run into the back of the car. I moved house the other week in a small 7.5 tonne rigid truck with one of the guys from work driving. We were cut off left right and centre. How some of our drivers ever reach the destination is amazing.
