  1. Use it as a stopover with Emirates en route to Europe and it doesnt cost anything extra. Europe return flights out of oz are between $1700-$2000 and increase a bit more for certain seasons/times. Go to the Emirates website as they fly straight there from Melbourne in one leg.
  2. I normally change down either block change or through each gear if I am aware of the requirement to stop or slow down in advance. If a set of lights turn amber quickly, tend to just brake. I much prefer using gears which stems from driving in poor road conditions a lot of the time with either a fair amount of standing water or ice/snow. With the leak, I would check all the visable checkable points to keep an eye on the levels. Have you tried tracing the leak on the underneath of the car. Could it just be air conditioning condensation with a small oil leak? Try and follow it up the hoses to the point of where it is coming from. And also depends how much you drive it, once a week out of the garage or everyday for an hour to work?
  3. Hey James, using google earth I managed to find your phone, some drunken egit had left it on the roof so couldnt return anyones calls!
  4. He was funny on Hamish and Andy the other night. Not sure if anyone heard it but they had him and another guy claiming to be the real John So. Was very funny.
  5. Thanks dude
  6. Was this the controversial episode? Nic mentioned a controversial one and seeing as I cant stand that presenter, I make sure I never watch it so would have no idea.
  7. Without condoning speeding as even 63 in a 60 would most likely have had a speedo reading of 65 as a lot are calibrated under, I believe there is a way out on your first offence. My gf's step mum a few years back wrote a letter to someone in the traffic authority (not sure who) and was told as a first offence, the points would be waived but not the fine. Now I dont know what speed she was doing but it wouldnt have been that much over otherwise people would live on that extra life line.
  8. Can someone tell me what one of these "uleh" characters is please? Mario I can work out.

    Music

That has to replace the current avatar Bris Current music seems to have gone to the dogs. A nice basey dance/trance tune is what I like and not too commercial either. How can we not mention the Jovi when he is current, still touring, still releasing new material, hasnt been in rehab for the past 10 years and doesnt have the tats of an entire hells angel gang.
  10. Dude I have been trying to get tickets for the past week. Guy at work is a bowls volunteer and got issued a free set but couldnt get in the city with his ID to collect them. I offered to drive him to get them but we ran out of time!
  11. Happy Birthday mate
  12. Exactly true, I work for a largish truck company and see this a lot. People just don't think about how long a truck takes to stop. In fairness I have never seen it acknowledged in driving literature which is maybe where part of the problem lies. I hate passing trucks and try and avoid at all costs even pulling in front of one on the freeway as I have seen the aftermarth of some our accidents.
  13. Been trying to think of the name of that place for ages! Cheers
  14. on the surface it looks like you win, only because I closed your conversation window and dont keep a saved copy at work! Best stop whoring Becs thread
  15. LMAO! HA HA HA: Matt says: fixed it Matt says: so u look like u made it up lol
  16. Hey smartass, I dont think Kaz will like being called that! Back at ya!
  17. Is that the one owned by Rex Hunt? If it is the one I am thinking of, I agree. Very average and plenty better.
  18. Yeah NOTHING to do with it!lol Alan: Hey matt is the guy with the yellow 240Z the same guy with the Silver WRX from the November DECA Matt: Yeah it is LMAO! Snowy - yeah thats him
  19. If funboy is the one I am thinking of (most likely not!lol) then he is Aaron from Rampants mate with the MYO4 rex? If yes then I thought he was the same guy who was in front of me (Jack). My appolgies then as that was where I was getting confused.
  20. MEH! I give up!lol, I am off to join a sychronised swimming club, less cars and drivers to remember, knowing my luck I will forget my car tonight and get busted trying to get into someone elses. I hereby would like to suggest we do a thread with members names and their cars (all of their cars that they might be at an SAU event in) minus the plates and a picture of them with it for moorons like myself
  21. OI OI! LOL! You can blame Mav for my stupidity this time! The guy who drives a silver Rex (sorry dont know your name, hence the original post) was sat in front of me last night (next to Daniel) and both Daniel and Snowy were referring to a "Jack" and looking in my direction last night. Now I am Alan, Scott was next to me and Justin the otherside. I didnt see who was behind me so thought possibly the guy in front who I recognise from DECA and Winton with the silver Rex, might be the same guy with the yellow 240. I also thought Dane drove a 240Z? Sorry, just trying to piece people and cars together and sometimes my guess work is out the window. Anyway, you bunch of comedians................... Reason for wanting to know is, I thought I saw the guy with the silver rex driving a green liberty near my place a couple of weeks back and wanted to see if indeed it was the same guy and if he lived in the area. Crikey!
  22. Superb effort Daniel and thanks for sharing it with us. Really enjoyed it. RPMZ - are you Jack with the silver rex?
  23. Thanks guys, answers: Just an IXUS500, fits easily in my cycling jersey. I take them on high res and resize at home. The most stunning city in the world I have ever been to and I feel extremely lucky to have all of this and the people around me here (sounds more like an oscars speach). Pics 1&2, both are Brighton. Pic 1 is exactly out the front of the Brighton Savoy, down the bottom of the grass bank opposite, just to the right of the bench there. Pic 2 is exactly at the Sandringham reserve about 10 metres off of the cycle track. There is a small clearing at the top of the grass bank.
  24. Thought I would post a few of the pics I was sending to the UK. Went out on the bike today and watched the mens time trial. Cycled right down to St Kilda. And................
  25. I am keen to hit Lysterfield and a few other places locally but had to leave my knobblies in the UK and have only found road mates here who have no desire to go off road so consequently havent got round to purchasing a set here.
