I can tell you Beach Rd is closed but went through South Melbourne last night and all were open virtually up to Beach Rd itself (residents need access still). You will also be fine as Beach Rd is open from 5.30pm today anyway. HTH

I do a fair bit of cycling in the evenings along the cycle path (around 40kms round trip). Has been good this past week as I wear my UK race team kit and have had several (tries to be politically correct) people who are from the race that take lots of photos traditionally, take pictures and film me. I am waiting for the autograph question though. I know the UK racers who are here for the MTB team from my racing days there. I think I also add substance as my mate in the UK wants pics so I keep stopping to take photos for him which makes me look like a proper tourist. If anyone wants a thrash around on MTB's, let me know as its always great to ride with someone.

Know how you feel mate. Our Lib RX had the tell tale signs back in June time last year. The local mechanic broke the pricing down to give us the worst case scenario so we got Subaru to quote us which was 1K cheaper. Decided to commit and get it fixed. $2800 later and she is running like a dream. Have put her through an SAU DECA event as well with no probs. Unfortunately the problem with our RX (98 model) was the whole engine had to come out to take the heads off to replace the gaskets. Fortunately it turned out to be just the gaskets and nothing more. They were $800 for the two gaskets and $2K in labour. Ah well, cars, gotta love em. Just clicked 205,000 the other day so has had a good innings. Hope you get it sorted for a reasonable price dude.

Had no idea a GTR weighed that much! We have access to one but I havent suggested it for the above reason.

How can you expect to answer questions on a $56K car if you didnt import or buy it? I have enough questions to ask for a 20K car. Good price for a GTR

Thanks anyway mate but I have a couple of importers I would use if I was going to import Jap rather than buy here. Have heard nothing bad about either of those and both are decent people I have met (neither are in Moorabin) Cheers though

Know exactly what you mean mate and sorry that someone else has to go through it. Have no idea who the company is you are talking about as they are *** out but I have had my own experience with compliance and would do things very differently in the future.

Saw one of the "Bell UH-1 Iroquios" tonight at about 5.45pm as I was driving through Sandringham on Beach Rd. Promptly went home and watched some more of the A-Team. Can't remember having seen one in the air before other than on TV.

I think that could be the one that was in the zoom magazine package I have. It has it from the back on a dyno. Only the one pic though. Fairly sure it is Brisbane autosalon it was taken at. That zoom pack is the latest one and has a blue S15 on the front. It should give you one pic if nothing else turns up.

I agree, I wouldnt own a GTR without insurance but didnt want this turning into a thread about people not affording insurance on a GTR.
