My younger son Jesse is 19, he squatted 170kg x 3 @ 67.7kg this week, thats a PB for him, very proud of him
  6. Jason Mawby looks after our entire team, he has totalled 600kg@100kg, his wife also competes. He fixed up Nina and Max, they still get alignments every fortnight, I think he has around 30 clients from PTC Emad is out of hospital. What was supposed to be a 1hr op lasted 3. His bones are like concrete, they struggled to drill through them Dr Bruce Reid and Dr Peter Larkins believe there was a stress fracture there that the MRI didnt pick up He has a titanium rod running through his humerus now. He was in the gym today. Nick, you'll be fine if you listen to Jason, we work together, we have a 100% success rate. Max started squatting an empty bar after Jason realigned him, he is about to squat 250kg x 4. You wont recognise the place when you walk in lol
  7. lol......no amount of prehab would save anyone from what happened to Emad The operation is tonight, they are doing a biopsy on his bone to find the cause of the snap, as in disease, it has nothing to do with lifting weights, your humerus doesnt snap benching 110kg. It doesnt snap benching 400kg. It snaps if there is an issue with the bone.
  8. Wayne and Liam on crutches, you with "old man" back, the team spends more time helping than lifting lol Its only going to get worse with Emads broken arm.
  9. I started this thread because there was so much stuff being posted that I didnt agree with in other threads, but I realize that not everyone wants to be strong This thread is for those that do So my posts in my powerlifting thread will always be about increasing your 1RM
  10. And this is the powerlifting thread
  11. Well Birds, speaking of a 180kg deadlift, should have a girl doing that in the 75kg class at Nats The top guys in that class are pulling 270kg Like I have said a million times, I have to offer the BEST advice, not just any advice, as its my job. I know your goal isnt to have a huge 1RM, I'm just illustrating that the conventional way is the better way. I disregard your "previous PB" of 130kg, our 14yo pulls 200kg in your weight class, that 130kg was simply an untrained lift. Lets see how long it takes to get from 180kg to 220kg I'm not having a go either, I love the fact your squatting and deadlifting, but I too have OCD and I cant stand watching people do something wrong I bet you never get from 180kg to 220kg your way. Please prove me wrong
  12. Nicks pressing was easy today i love volume work, but we do it after our strength work I feel its close to pointless afterwards, as its not a true max and doing sub max work for a single is not very clever, Birds has demonstrated it hasnt made him stronger doing it that way Volume and max work are equally important, but they should be done in an order that helps not hinders both Birds is basically wiping his ass then shitting, the movements are correct, the order isn't.

You should drop in for a session Birds, see if we can get that PB up a bit
  14. Max is a sponsored athlete, he can get any supplement he needs, any quantity, any time, for free. This is all he ever gets Whey Protein BCAA Glutamine ZMA No PWO, no Creatine, no Fat burner etc
  15. We dont compete in a drug tested Fed, so no cheats. ASADA have a few of them banned, I cant tell you which ones as it is of no interest to me. It was when I was working with the Dolphins, but no longer. The reason we cant take them interstate or overseas is that they are an illegal substance in some countries, but I suppose we can always drive interstate
  16. Troy is correct, they REALLY sharpen you up, not all of them though We have original formula Jacked and Craze, although we cant take it to interstate and international meets, it really helps I guess not taking them for 360 days, and only at meets, stops any chance of dulling the effect
  17. I'm 100% with Birds on this. I spend 60 hours in a gym with some extremely strong and hard training individuals, and some ordinary ones. The really good ones, use Jacked or Craze the MORNING OF THE COMP only, NEVER for training, so 3-6 x a year The ordinary ones use it every session, their reasons are very similar to Troy's I have a PT in my gym, trains his own clients here, all the guys take these drinks, none of these guys are as strong as my girls, none, I'm dead serious Making sure you are prepared to train hard every session is just a part of it If you rely on stimulants, you'll fail because it means youve not done everything right Just an observation from where I sit

  19. Its a skill you need to learn Firing all your fast twitch fibres for a max effort is a skill I have some lifters that need to learn to do 5 reps Once your a complete lifter, you'll progress much faster Zoran was awesome at singles, crap on 10's Now he's much better, and much stronger for it
