Just purchased myself a Motive Pressure Bleeder, some Penrite Sin 600 brake fluid and some Redline MT-85 gearbox oil. Going to preserve the life of my rooted gearbox for a few more weeks/months until i buy the new box.

Buying a new gearbox* haha. Nah in terms of a stock V35 manual vs auto i'd pick manual any day. But i know the Transgo is an awesome upgrade for the auto guys.

If i was going to buy a 86 and i could supercharge or turbo it i would, it's not very fast from stock and some of the creations out of the USA i've seen from the BRZ and FT-86 are sick.

Jono i'm pretty sure there's still one there you can drive, the waiting list is supposedly 6 months as of now but i would go in and ask for either Vas (Indian) or Ben. Both really good guys to deal with and know their stuff.

4.2 6 cyl turbo cruiser are pretty rare. we had one in my yard for 1 day and it sold. 2006 with 49,000km sold it for $53,500.. Benny, if your buying a FJ cruiser through Toyota in town hit me up i will make sure your looked after as i work for Autocorner The FJ's are really nice to drive and i like the interior it's very modern

That's not too bad since it would be much much easier to get the sump cover off. The stock one is such a bitch. You'd think it'd be noisy though wouldn't you? with rocks and shit flying up and hitting it.

Nice man, my missus is f*cking crazy for teal coloured stuff. That's what i did for the oil, but when i went to do the filter i didn't have enough energy to take the sump cover off and get the clamps around the oil filter because it's very tight then i couldn't find the friggin things then i just gave up and wanted to go to sleep.

Because i had a big day yesterday i was buggered, changed the oil and couldn't be bothered f*cking around trying to take the filter off because of it's position and the sump cover in the way so i put it in the too hard basket until probably this weekend.

what do they hold, 6L or 5L? i put 4.5L back in last night and it's nearly full

I do get nervous every now and then about that sort of shit happening. That's horrible to hear, i can't imagine that sight. But in response to my question before, i have used just over 1L of oil in around 7,000km.. i have heard some of the motors in the states were recalled for bad oil consumption. Is this something to worry about?

I replaced my engine oil last night, so difficult when my car is low as f*ck had to drive the car up on bits of wood to fit the jack in.. Still need to change the filter, i didn't end up finishing the change until about 7:30 last night and i was tired as f*ck so i thought i'd do it next oil change. Is it normal for my car to use 1L of engine oil in about 7,000km?
