  1. I think the Redline oil will be fine for me being N/A. Cal, why didn't you come to your girlfriends xmas party at Ambassador last night? I was the only bloke there!
  2. Thanks for that benny, i guess they are both just as good as eachother.
  3. Off topic from money- I was speaking to a guy in the states on the topic of gearbox and diff oils and he seemed to think Redline oils were bad and to stay away from them and that Amsoil oils are much much better. thoughts? Everyone i've ever spoken to that runs Redline oils reps it well so i find this hard to believe.
  4. This made my day
  5. Oh whoops, i misread it i thought the OP wrote Bilstein shocks for some reason.
  6. Ah true, what sort of ute is it for? I can try get you some prices from here if you want
  7. I'm on $18 an hour Jono.. but in saying that i do make around 3-4 grand in bonuses/commission monthly. I would LOVE to be making that weekly!
  8. That's really cool, great idea. Well for me, not so much what i've done today but what i am doing on the weekend is an oil change and brake fluid change. Then hopefully in 2-3 weeks time i'll be purchasing my new CD009 gearbox clutch & flywheel and i'm pretty damn excited for that!
  9. Why wouldn't you consider BC BR series coils? They'd do the job, unless of course your car is running a lot of power and do series track work.. As for bushes, i have used factory revised bushes for both my compression rod bushes and haven't had any problems yet and it's been about 5000km. I would recommend Whiteline or Superpro for control arm etc..
  10. 6 days a week 8-5:30 with 0 RDO's.. i wish i had more time off.
  11. Wher from mate? My boss is the manager off Opposite Lock accessories and i sell used cars here. I should be able to help you out.
  12. ah nice, heard a lot of people like that system as it's close to stock but gives a bit more of a grunt.
  13. like those lights man, that looks like a custom exhaust too what is it?
  14. Who makes 2k a week..? shit sign me up!
  15. Nah mate i've got SPC camber arms, i went for the cheaper option as i found in my research the SPL arms were mainly used for track use but are overall a better build. Me too! I have just recently got my right front comp rod bush changed and i've still got a slight clunk after i lowered my car and i can't work out what it could be. Either control arm bushes or ball joint. I know my shocks are farrrked though. Nice, that's a really good setup whiteline sway bars are very common and can't go wrong with BC coils. Good luck man, i'm sure there's plenty of people down that way who know suspension.
  16. Good stuff Mat, you went ahead with the SPL a-arms? They are really good quality, great for track use.
  17. Awesome that's good Jono, haven't heard 1 bad story yet so that must be a good thing. Either way i will still go through him as i trust Mick's judgement. Yes definitely good idea i will do this once i am ready to go ahead with the fitting. I can't wait! Then i'll be getting an exhaust and a tune then going back to the track.
  18. I just had a chat to Mick Zammit, i'm sure most of you would know him, and he mentioned that he has known Deric for 15 odd years and he does alot of work with him and would recommend him to do the job for me. Looks like that's a definite then, now i just need another few weeks to buy everything.
  19. I'm after some feedback on Clapson Automotive. I called them this morning and spoke to Derrick, i explained to him exactly what needed done and he seemed pretty happy with it (compared to everyone else saying no to Skylines) I just basically want some DIRECT feedback from them, i don't want any of the "oh my mate said they're shit" stories. Derrick estimated it'd be about a 5 hour job replacing gearbox and putting in new clutch & flywheel + replacing gearbox oil. So i'm guessing that's about $600 labour. cheers.
  20. It's probably not roadworthy but the car isn't registered. Randall is on this forum but he doesn't post much.
  21. tried quoting a post way back in 2009 someone said "hiace van with sr20" There's a bright orange Hiace Van up here with a 2J in it, auto boxand it did a PB last night of 11.7 i think it was. Crazy quick and it's funny because people sitting near me were laughing at it at the lights.. and i was just thinking you guys just wait! haha
  22. I heard mounting it on the roof is the new trend.. Just kidding, what about the passenger side dash part just where the glove box is and have them facing towards you? I know someone that's done with with a R32 and it looks good.
  23. The mines are about 2 hours away from here hah..
  24. Haha i will ask him on Monday.. Yeah i texted Leon he said he's got nothing laying around, my mate couldn't organise a trailer anyway so he didn't end up coming. Anyone else head out to TnT last night? Really good turn out of spectators and a good number of cars, was a good night
  25. Yeah definitely tidies up the engine bay a bit. Now to add some shiney shit!
