Agreement By Licensed Driver Who Is Testing A Vehicle
Seano350GT replied to GTR-N1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Good idea from a private sale point of view - I sell used cars and we have a similar form to fill out but only in the event of a loan car. Basically says the same thing, you damage it you pay for it. It also lists the km's the car had when it left the yard, customers details eg name, number, licence details, address. Time car left yard, time came back on the yard and signed off. -
Woah, lucky that didn't happen on a tight turn. Would be a terrible situation to be in, good to see both the car and driver is okay.

Time to buy a new box. Starting to lose 3rd, can't change when doing above 5500rpm in 2nd.. won't go in. 5th gear still grinds. Sourcing new and upgraded box from the later model 350z's with stronger synchro's for about $1900 delivered. Then clutch & flywheel about $800. 5 hour-ish labour from my mechanic.

I still like the front and back of the ralliarts.

Vq35De Gearbox Grind :s
Seano350GT replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thought i'd post an update. Starting to lose 3rd gear, went for a spirited drive last night and got up to about 6000rpm in 2nd and couldn't get it into 3rd at all. 5th gear still grinds, Sourced a CD009 transmission $1699 brand new, 5 hour labour job from my mechanic out the back of my work. JWT clutch & flywheel combo - $775. Just under $3000 installed for everything unless i decide i want to tackle the box change myself with a mate or 2. Purchasing the new box next week i have a mate in the states trying to find me a better price than $1699 brand new he said he bought his for $1200 brand new so hopefully i can save a bit more money there. -
Strongly dissagree, both CJ Ralliart lancers and STI Subie's look mean as f*ck when modified properly.
-
Don't know anything about the BMW's or Audi's. But there's one of those MK2 TT's in town, they look beautiful. I have 2 mates with the new CJ Ralliart lancers and they love them, very good looking cars and the inside is amazing. Loads of features and best of all they're damn quick even from factory.

Wtb: V35 Coupe Car Bra
Seano350GT replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Already on 92,000km. It won't affect resale value when i go to sell, the range in these cars is typically between 14-22k and it doesn't move from there. I will check it out, the only reason i want to drive is because i'm visiting old mates from Newcastle and they want to see my car, i also like the idea of being independant and not having to scab lifts everywhere as i'll be down there for a week. -
Yes your gap will be a bit bigger, therefore i would go for the Tein S-Techs if i was on 19s. Indeed they do, if you haven't already, search "V35 Coupe Drivers" facebook page. 500+ Members most in the US/Canada/Hawaii good bunch of blokes and some sick cars.

The only reason i want it is because i have done the trip before at night and i plan on doing it again at that time, when i did the trip from Brisbane to home (roughly 1000km) the front bumper was hammered with bugs and took forever to get off so i guess i'm trying to eliminate that, I will have a look at that when i get home Matt just leaving work cheers. -
Did a bit of a search and can't seem to find anything, Doesn't matter if it's used or new, plan on doing a 2000km drive in a few months and would like to protect the front of the car on the way down the coast. Let me know if you have one or know of where i can find one, Cheers.

Selling Your Car? Watch Out For These Scammers
Seano350GT replied to wilorichie's topic in Queensland
I honestly don't feel sorry for the people that have been screwed over by these scammers, you'd have to be that stupid to fall for it. -
Holy shit ^ They look sick. Thanks Elie, i am quite happy with them too

Onto a different topic, Food.. I just ate possibly the best kebab in my life. Don't know the name of the shop, but it's next to the fish market shop and across the road from Subway at north mackay Evans street. Also near Pedders. Holy shit it was amazing.

Good question, i originally nearly pulled the trigger on the S-Techs as they are rated highly because Tein is backed pretty well. The only reason i didn't go for them is because 1.5'' drop all round i thought would be too much, then i stumbled across a picture of a guy in the states that has the same springs as me, with the same tyre specs and it sat just perfect so i went with the Eibach springs. Another reason is because the roads where i live aren't awesome so i thought 1.5'' drop would be a little too rough and i reckon if i did go for the S-Techs i'd be having bad scraping problems as i already have some issues now getting in driveways Yes i am still on stock shockies haha
-
Hey bud, Mate i've noticed that they are a little bit stiffer than factory, but it's definitely not uncomfortable. I've also noticed, as someone said before, the Achiles ATR sport tyres are a little louder than other brands but it's definitely not annoying. The drop was meant to be 1.1'' front and back, i reckon that's about right, it might even be more considering at stock height i had 245/40/18 tyres at the back and had HEAPS of wheel gap now i've got 255/35/20 at the back and i am going to need to roll them when i put the spacers back on. I would recommend the springs for a nice drop if that's what your trying to acheive, although my front shockies are in bad shape.. i will most likely invest in coilovers in the next coming months.

Jealous as f*ck.

On the topic of rotors- my factory rotors and pads are in horrible shape, rotors have lines through them, are very glazed and beyond machining. I've got in touch with Peter who is a vendor for RDA, He's hooked me up with a brand new design from RDA, they are slotted and dimpled with new technology there's a few things he mentioned i can't remember. Anyway, he's organising a set of 4 rotors + 4 EBC Red Stuff pads for the BREMBO edition, a total of $919 delivered to my door. If anyone else is keen on this, let me know and i can arrange it through Peter. There is a 48 hour waiting time on these rotors as they are custom made for each order. He made an ad for me on eBay, i'm not sure if you guys can see this or not but here they are. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121019111709?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
