E85 doesnt necessarily mean more boost. The main benefit is actually the resistance to detonation I think you should go the e85 path, big pump injectors and tune. Your tuner will be able to add a forkload more timing across the board and make your car drive more fun. If you go the larger turbo route you'll definately get more lag, less time near boost in a street car and not enjoy it as much. Or since you didnt mention dump pipe go kando td05 and wind up the boost :-) My 2c worth

Hey guys, reviving this old thread. The issue still hasnt been resolved, but my last piece of the ignition system seems to be either ignitor or cas. Anyhow ive been trying to source another rb20 ignitor without success. Gumtree, wreckers etc Has anyone converted their rb20 to run another style ignitor? Rb25, vg30de, or something else? This issue is really giving me the shets, i cant drive this thing and i need to do some shed skids

You can test wg spring using a large plastic syringe with a vac line attached to you wg actuator with a boost gauge t'd in. That will determine actuator psi. Then check that you wg flap dosnt foul on you dump. If its still a problem put a bleed tap on the vac line leading to your bov. Check out autospeed.com.au for more info on that

Yes its auto.... And cyifly thats exactly it. Its able to rev right up like 4 5krpm at part throttle but almost instantly stops at wot. Ill check the afm today, i think theyre different to gtr afms though. I pulled apart my gfs 33 gtst afm to find they are completely different internally, and i suspect rb20 25 afms are the same

Hey guys im having trouble with my s13 rb20 missing it has New plugs New leads New au coilpack Hiflow 33 turbo Full exhaust Xr6t intercooler Walbro pump Stock 32 auto ecu The car starts and idles but it misses all through the rev range, sometimes bad enough to stop it revving. All the plugs look like theyre burning the same (0.8mm gap) and it blows a small amount of fuel out the exhaust. Ive tried changing the leads around incase the firing order was out, and also dissconnected the afm to try see a change and there was no benefit. Cas timing is on the stock mark, and ive checked the coilpack wiring with the r31 clubs guide. Im kinda stumped as to what it could be, any other ideas

Im not sure what i prefer, bush or balls. Hahaha Anyway i have a vg30 0p6 rear turbo looking to donate. I broke the front oil seal plate trying to diy rebuild. Looking at it against a 34 turbo it looks a little bigger but i cant be sure.

Hey everyone I installed a vg30 ball bearing turbo onto and rb20 only to find it smokes badly, i removed it and proceeded to pull it apart for a DIY rebuild. When i pulled it apart i managed to break the plate behind the comp wheel. Are parts in the nissan turbo cores interchangable? How do you remove the front metal seal. when i pryed the inner lip it became loose but never came out and chipped the edges Has anyone used a kando turbo rebuild kit? Or the kando t4 comp wheel, cover and backing plate upgrade?

Yeah td07s 25g with 16cm rear seems the turbo for a rotary, but i dont think kando do that rear do they? Also they are offering a t04 compressor housing and wheel kit, just curious if anyone has tried to fit this to a stock nissan turbo? I'm seriously considring buying this kit, having the shaft balenced then seeing whats possible. Any suggestions stao?

I'm currently building a 13s for $ 1300 car with an rb20 auto s13. For tuning i have a wideband. I'm using jaycar digital fuel adjuster to pass fuel cut boost fuelling with an adjustable fpr and pontiometer on water temp sensor And using the cas to advance or retard timing as required With a r33 turbo with vg30 housing i expect to see 180kw atw or so The digital fuel adjuster also has a relay output for additional wmi injecton, fuel pump etc so i may utilize this feature if i upgrade the turbo Its ghetto tuning at its finest but this stuff works.
