  1. Yes exactly...they never burst....they usually pop off the fitment they are set into.
  2. It's a waste of time.... I've seen too many cars explode into flames because of it. Just use proper rubber fuel line.
  3. I believe most people use a long 90 degree silicon elbow.
  4. Stao from hyper gear turbos is the man to speak to. He is active on this forum.
  5. whats your spark plug gap? and what coils are you running? are you running stock mafs?
  6. why are you reducing timing across wot load points?....you should be increasing timing.
  7. you could lean on the tune a bit better and take the idle and cruise mixtures closer to 14.7...this will be easier to do with nistune and a good tuner....the stock ecu would do this on closed loop which can make it variable depending on how good your o2 sensors are. 3-4k is way over the top...... where are you located? happy to help. My tuner could re-adjust your cruise and idle mixtures on a road tune for $250.
  8. i'm gonna make some guesses here.... you need to do this i did this on my wifes GTR that had a missfire when up it in third. the second part might be that your tuner may not have done your accelerator correction, or it could be your TPS. make sure your tps is reading the correct voltage at idle i think its 0.45v-0.55v at throttle closed position, the voltage should increase to somewhere between 3-5v at WOT. you don't need to do this with the car going but just the ignition turned on.whats your ECU ? can you datalog?
  9. Is this under Wot conditions or in light or partial throttle?
  10. I reckon you might just have more flutter with the bovs
  11. What do you mean? Are you sure your Bovs aren't just louder now?
  12. you shouldn't need to change the tune....but if you are a perfectionist you might.... restriction on the exhaust side can increase back pressure and increase cylinder temps,... i wouldn't worry so long as you aren't impeading flow.
  13. These are the Lag times i could find for the injectors. Injector Flow CC/min Flow LB/Hr Ohm 10v 11v 12v 13v 14v 15v Nissan Skyline GT-R 440 42 2 1.35 1.12 0.96 0.85 0.76 0.65 Nissan Skyline GT-R 440 42 2 0.7 0.61 0.54 0.48 0.4 0.35 RC Engineering 750 71 3 0.57 0.48 0.38 0.31 0.24 0.17 RC Engineering 750 71 3 0.88 0.66 0.48 0.32 0.18 0.05 RC Engineering 750 71 12 1.36 1.12 0.92 0.76 0.63 0.5
  14. what Fuel pressure reg are you running? is it 1:1?
  15. this is because the site search sucks balls(mostly because people don't tag there pages)....use google site:www.skylinesaustralia.com
  16. check your o2 sensors.... They could be poked. unless you have o2 feedback turned off. either way if you are not able to tune it.. try getting it Tuned.
  17. yeah vct makes a good difference to low end torque
  18. torque, drifters need torque.
  19. are you using the same map loaded on your powerfc as before? i recommend, if you can...to do a data initialise (wipe) of your power fc and then reload your maps...then run through the startup procedure for the powerfc again. if you can't do this...i'd recommend taking it to a tuner that can.
  20. rb30det....replace the bottom end with a 3ltre block...
  21. Just to correct some mis-information i gave...the gain is the same all the way through because you can't set it individually for each mode. each setup is different but i've found a gain of 30 and setting of 60 to work well to 1.18bar or if i want a different response i set gain to 7 and setting to 71 which gives me 1.18-1.2 bar.
  22. completely depends on how far you want to go with your car and what you want to do with it.
  23. i was but i still have the problem of my stock dump...after talking to a few people and umming and aahhhing a lot...i want to use a much easier dump configuration with vband's used for the wastegate..this will allow me to re-make the front pipe and dump to accomodate a couple of things that i also want namely a 3" flexi and a wideband bung....also make it easier to take apart in the future when i 30det it.
  24. i was recommended the mp544 based on a power goal of 250-300rwkw.....only issue is that one is only 0.7 a/r hot side....pretty good prices though...most of them are just under a grand NZD.
