  9. if you hold down the mode button on mode 1 2 3 & 4 is the gain 20 all the way through them? you can set it differently for each mode by holding down the mode button for three seconds then adjusting with the select button.

  11. also instead of watching peak hold, set it to show actual boost and read if it drops off.

  15. considering the demand for these motors....finding a cheap wrecker motor even a cheap one is going to set you back near $1500-$2000. if he has only damaged the ring lands and not the bore he could just be up for a piston and rings....this is unlikely...but still possible...have a look....take some pics and report back...interesting that it wasn't cyl 1 or 6 that let go.
  16. basic maps for basic bolt on mods ....sure.....but for the levels of modifications there i'd say GTSboy is on the money.
  17. those parts can be salvaged. you might even find the engine can be fixed....its not all doom and gloom...but pull the head and check for what is stuffed.....no use worrying about it until you pull it down and find out what you need to fix/replace/machine. if you have a mate that has an inspection camera you could poke it down the spark plug hole and have a look also...if you are lazy i've seen some major damage in stock car motors that has been fixed.
  18. The blitz controllers can be annoying to configure....but check your gain setting isn't masking the issue. Set your gain low ...like 5. then set your boost level until you reach your desired boost ... i've found when you crank up the gain it can overboost and then taper off too quickly rather than building to the peak boost.
  19. yeah dyno's don't mean crap...the race track is where results are proven.

  22. my speedo is currently having problems...i fix it by bashing it(not recommended..breaks windscreen).....mine doesn't like going above 60km/h until its warmed up...but i'm curious as to wether its his RPM or speedo that is incorrect....the speedo drive/sender is off the gearbox right? and the rpm is signal. It could be just a coincidence that it happened when ecu's changed?
  23. i guess i offered that as a way he could check his speedo/rpm gauge calibration...what are you the f**kin forum police?
  24. most dyno's will have an inductive loop to measure rpm off cylinder 1....i wouldn't trust the gauge to be dead accurate.
