I have a 2002 NM35 Stagea (VQ25DET AWD). It's got some mods nothing too crazy MCA purple coilovers, 3" turbo back exhaust (Scotts dump and front into freeway dolphin), Recaro SR3 seats, Enkei wheels 18x8.5, trans cooler, brake cut mod). I've Just replaced all 4 wheel bearings, brake pads, discs and tyres along with both cam cover gaskets. Also changed the castor rod bushes for Superpro double offset bushes. This has all been done in the last couple thousand kms. Car has twin sunroofs and Nissan display screen which shows fuel consumption etc, aftermarket DVD player has been fitted to play DVDs through the factory screen. Display is still in Japanese. Only bad is clear coat peeling on bonnet and thin in other areas with dent in drivers side doors. I have all the factory parts if required such as seats, suspension, wheels and exhaust. Registered til November 2016. Has travelled 130,000kms. Asking $10,900 or swap for something of interest

Ummmm from memory I think they are all the same, I could be wrong though

Agree with Josh 100%. I'm somewhat of a novice and did mine recently, thought it was good til I drove down the road and under a bit of load it started to leak. After much swearing and more hours I got it done but yea, use gasket glue or similar, definitely don't over tighten (I snapped one bolt, wasn't fun). Make sure the sealing surface on the head and the cover are both nice and clean!

Z33 box will take quite a bit they're really strong. Rear wheel drive though, not AWD.

I've got a VQ25 NM35 and the cooling system is next in my to do list so I'm also keen to see what people recommend

Yep, Yuma has it now. I ended up getting one of the Vgate things that someone posted on M35 Stagea Tuners FB page -
People with MCAs installed haven't had any issues (that I know of). A couple of people (1 or 2 I think) with OEM struts/shocks had the mounting plate in the rear where the strut/shock bolts to crack quite badly. By having MCAs you're putting all the load on that area which was only designed to have a shock bolt up to it, not the spring too which take the weight/load. Basically people are concerned that if a non load bearing shock can crack that plate imagine what a full load bearing coilover will do to it, plus the LCA was not intended to have all the load on it either. Like I said, I have had mine 6 months with no issues or concerns, on mid settings they're firm and comfortable, on the hardest setting they are rock hard but I like that (I drive around daily on the hardest settings). I've done a couple trips from Sydney to the centra coast loaded with 4/5 guys and enough shit for a weekend away and I haven't noticed any bad signs. Also Josh from MCA has an M35 which I would assume is running his suspension (you would hope).

Hi all, I'm after some new compression rod bushes and have noticed that Superpro sell normal ones, single offset and double offset. I would assume here that the offset ones provide better handling due to alignment correction, is that right? Also what are the best ones, single or double? http://www.superpro.com.au/find/superpro-suspension-parts-and-poly-bushings-for-nissan-stagea-m35-awd-2001-2007-/cid-999501157

MCA will give you the height you want and with a comfy yet firm ride. Some people don't like them though as they are a proper coilover at the rear and bolt up to the LCA and shock tower, where the shock would be which wasn't really designed to take the old of the car. I have had them for 6 months with no issues though

Hi! The Jap to Aus conversion is quite expensive IMO but I'm pretty sure that is about the going rate. It's up to you whether you think it's worth while or not. Most people on here will tell you not to worry as its cool for a few weeks then you get over it, I kind of agree. What models are you looking at?

What are their wheels made of? Are they just a Garrett core with our housings or something else?I think that's what stripey wanted, just a basic high flow that will respond similarly to stock but without the concern of the ceramic wheel.
