I was 20 (and on my P's) when I got my NA R32 4 years ago. Cost me $1200 p/a with Just Cars for full comprehensive. I think I was rating 3 or 40% NCB. Mods on my N/A were full exhaust system and sound system and I had a 3 point black wired immobiliser.

All depends on what your rating is though. If you have a bad driving history or rating 5 then prepare to bay through your arse.

Also depends where you are..with FULL NCB, 23, full licence I was quoted approx $3k for NA R33 in Sydney.. and at the time a GTST was only $500 more.

Call your current insurer and find out how much NCB you have. Otherwise a potential insurer will give you an indication of your NCB with your driving history.

go through just cars man, should be around the one grand mark give or take a bit...more likely give :D i think $1200 sounds about right seeing as i was quoted $1700 for a 32 Gts-t and im only 17

What state are you from mate? Canberra and Sydney have the worst theft rate in Australia, so if your from one of these.. goodluck.

I've had my P's for a year now, no claims, and im with Justcars. Got my renewal last week, and its now $534 for 12 months 3rd party, or $654 for fire and theft, with an excess of $600 standard excess, with an added bonus of $600 because im a male driver between 16-22 years old. This insurance is with unlimited mods mind you. For an R33 non-turbo.

Going off this.. i would say a full insurance qoute would be much more expensive... Definetly more then $1200.

I think probably the best way for you to find out how much insurance would cost on an NA 32 would be to call up a few insurance companies, they'll ask you a few questions about your car, driving history, place of residence etc, and then give you a quote.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
