And this 32 vs 33 thing, we are really talking about the classic Elle McPherson vs Sophie Hawkins aren't we??

I mean Elle was damn good, still is OK, but she can't stay that way forever.......so along comes Sophie to continue the good work.

I can see parallels here.

sophie? dont u mean jennifer?

When you do get the chance to drive a GTR (properly) Leigh, you will realise why they are so much more appreciated than the GTST, I have driven a very serious R32 GTR before and since then I have lusted after one ever since (particularly an R32 GTR Vspec2... Hmmmm I wonder who has one of those?) but I simply cannot afford one, let alone the insurance price tag, but ONE DAY! I will have one!

Jayce..... If you happen to die of "natural" causes can I have your car pretty please? You know Ill take good care of it! :P

ive driven an r33 gtr vspec n got quite bored of it. only thing worthy of noting was launching. didnt get 2 try out cornering it on the edge but it was enough for me.

R32 [ 42 ] [56.00%]

R33 [ 33 ] [44.00%]

After I voted.

This is a silly conversation, the r33 was created in error much like the 2001 WRX... both pretty but wrong. The original WRX was a cult car like the CRX before it, even now it is appreciated more than its younger brother the 2001. Its much the same for the 32s and 33s, I had a guy just the other day come ask me if mine was a r34, ok he was out of the game but new a 34 was a newish car, surely no one would mistake a so called "aged" car for a new one, put simply they have aged very gracfully, as for looking better with a kit, yes the r33s look better with a kit much like a prossy with heaps of make up. You still dont want to wake next to it!

Looking at stat's, Jayce has clearly shown that the r32 GTR was the quickest and most known of the Skyline race, but lets also look at how many r33s you your self know that have been crashed. I can count close to 9 and I only know 1-2 r32s, Driver you may say, but these are a japanese family car = more crahing- bad design I say...

I would say my preference would be

- R34 GTR

- R32 GTR

- R33 GTR

- R32 Gtst

- R34 Gtst

- 2001 WRX

- R33 Gtst

hehehe

* the opionions in this post are mine and mine alone, no offence was intended to anyone (excpet R33 Gtst drivers, who claim on R32 GTR popularity).

your welcome... :)

All quiet on this topic...Looks like the 32 takes the prize, yes?!?

just because there are alot more poor people out there who cant afford 33's they figure they had better vote 32's as they may have a chance of being able to afford one :D

*starts up a fire and runs and hides*

Disclaimer: This opinion above is that of a guy i spoke to on the street some time ago it does not reflect my personal opinion so as such i can't be held to the above quote

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
    • Hey mate, really appreciate the help. Have been looking pretty extensively myself and was certain they were retro fitted, but then ended up finding a 4 door with what looks like the same side skirts or at least the closest I’ve seen.
