A quick heads up to ACT SAU'ers-I thought I'd offer the first shot at a few bits that will be coming up for grabs in the not-too-distant future. This post should give you time to work out if you want anything, before I go and sell stuff on eBay...

Coming soon:used standard R32 GT-R bits:pistons,rods,injectors,fuel pump,rear calipers and disc rotors,turbos(still deciding if they'll get sold with a G.C.G. test sheet/seal of approval...),air flow meters,camshafts,radiator,oil pump,water pump,coilpacks,old-school HKS boost contoller and probably a few more bits yet...

This gear will come off in a few months time, but I don't want people saying "oh,I'll take part xxx" now then mumbling something further on down the track that they don't need them...after I've chased off other buyers.

I haven't worked out what I'll start asking for,but seeing as local pickup and payment will be slightly easier than eBay auction,it'll be cheaper to you lot than whatever I start the eBay bidding at!

P.M.'s are good;first in,best dressed!

Jayce.

Would the GTR injectors fit on my RB 20?

I believe so:I'll check...Even if they do,you'll be wasting quite a bit of go-juice if everything else isn't tweaked accordingly!

They do fit, but its a bit of mucking around I think, something about resisitance or something. I'm sure there'd be a thread about it. I was going to go with RB26 injectors, then went with the Sard 550cc ones that plug straight in (with tuning of course). They work well and were not earth shatteringly expensive...

so you're hanging on to the fluffy dice and the nodding dog then?  damn...only things I wanted...

 ! Yep,those, and the titanium ashtray and my Garage Slow-As dipstick(it's got 20 thou' shaved off...) are keepers!!

Oh,just a quick note:I posted this on the ACT thread for ACT SAU crew,so anyone that's not my usual locals don't take it personally if I say it's only for you guys and gals. I had a kind PM from a WA member, but I will keep this within our boundaries pre eBay!

    • Like I said, "black magic" LOL In the end,  it is what it is, and hopefully, what this here knuckle head has done is an improvement and not a hindrance Not that I actually notice any negatives now, or that I will get any seat of the pants benefits when all is said and done, but best practice says I shouldn't be pulling intake air from the hot engine bay  Famous last words: I cannot see it being any worse than what it is at the moment 🤔
    • If the gases flowing in those two tracts had the same properties, you could maybe use such broscience. But the exhaust has a different composition, different normal density, different actual density (because of different normal density, and mostly because of the massively higher temperature), and different viscosity (again because of much higher temperature). Consequently, all of the fluid dynamics parameters that matter, that you calculate from these inputs, such as the Reynolds number, friction factors (for wall friction) and so on, are all incomparable.
    • And we shall have to presume that Canada is the same?
    • In the US almost everything is E10. It can't exceed 10% by much or fuel systems have trouble adapting. At the same time because MTBE, MMT, and TEL are all banned they need as much ethanol in it as possible to boost octane.
    • I was mostly jesting. In my experience (and probably only my experience) the R34 GTT physical airbox space is actually too small to flow the amount of power it wanted. By sealing the box, I made it so it could only be fed by the ducts themselves. So you can seal it up and get nice cold air which IS good, but at a certain crossover point: More Hot Air > Less Cold Air I don't think you're at this point. In my case merely ducting the hot air intake with a very focused set of ducts counteracts the fact it's in a V8 engine bay. More cold air obviously best. The solution looks great.
