Going to meet some friends at 7.30pm for dinner over near there

somewhere(haven't decided where yet) then head over to the meeting place at 9.00.I assume it's Belair rd where that woolworths is - or is it the one on Sheppards hill rd?

Yes Lenzerheide is very nice, but a bit fancy for a casual meal with

mates. We are meeting at cafe mediterranean(under the windy point restaurant) just before 8.00pm. Anyone else is welcome - if not see you at the cruise at 9.00pm.

According to the PF forums the cruise is not on .... looks like it is our cruise now :) .... I'll be there at 9pm .... Matt I will give you a buzz to hook up beforehand.

Erica, yeah I was taking the missus out for Valentines - we went to a comedy thing at the Zoo .... was awesome! Performing were Big Al (announcer from Fresh FM), Justin Hamilton (from Triple J), an mc and some other dude. Was a good show on the lawn near the rotunda!

See you all tonight Mitcham 9pm .... my mobile is 0414 904 451 in case you get lost :D

We try to keep it to high performance cars but Skylines specifically (however I don't own one - I am an outcast :D ). We don't want massive numbers of cars cos it attracts too much police attention, but kind of the more the merrier without there being to many - have I been vague enough?

The other more important issue here is that this is in NO WAY a cruise, it is merely a few friends getting together and travelling from place to place as we see fit. There are all sorts of nasty legal implications to do with insurance etc if it is a 'cruise' per say. So yeah we keep it simple and just hang out .... going for a bit of a drive here and there if we feel like it :)

Hope I have been clearer than mud :D Come along and meet the gang .... don't be shy to introduce yourself!

yeah well look at that. last post before the cruise, and the first one since!!!!

geeeeeeeeeeez i love getting called into work at 8am after getting home at 2.30ish that morning. (or so i just found out today)

Sweet night guys, and girls. Nice small-ish group, no hassels all night. We went back down the Bay after everyone left, the cops were cicrling the carpark on their bikes.

I havent even had time to check the footage my co-pilot, Jason took of the traffic light drags. And that siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick thrashing along grote street!!

You girls in your respective '32s are M.A.D. mad.

Nightcrawler: posting your array of pics? (once you finished polishing the lancer guts off your front bumber)

I kinda got left behind on the express way. I've got retreads and 7 days till I get off my P's. Im not gonna do anything stupid to lose it now! Im pretty paranoid about it though!

It's good to spend a satday night cruising with decent cars, instead of the local commodore brigade on Anzac highway with cops everywhere!

Is it a reguarly thing??? How often do you's organise small cruises?

I had a great night, unfortunately later in the night I found my mate on a medium strip in his new Series 6 after someone had side swiped him, poor guy.

Great Cruise!

Can't wait to see piccies and footage.

if you have any post links or send to [email protected]

Cruise was great, able to match faces with forum names. I got alittle exicted around corners a few times hehe. :burnout:

btw did any1 notice the police car following us on the expressway while we were doing >150 km/h- the 1 that turn off @ marion rd, I didnt realise it until my g/f told me the next day. :D

thanks man .... yeah had an awesome cruise - just the right number of people and no constabulary, made for a top ride. Excellent route selection too John, as always!

I got heaps of pics and vids - I will get them up on my Yahoo site later tonight .... will post when they're up!

Timmmayyy - yeah we go out all the time - keep checking these forums for info.

Mel - loved your ride - sweet as :D .... can't wait till you get your cooler and Power FC on so you can keep up with me :D ROFL *grin*

Nozilla - good to finally meet you mate - nice clean car you got there!

Stang - were you in the black 33? .... yeah those races down Grote St were awesome - there's nothing like the sounds of some worked engines pumping up the revs surrounded by buildings! The bystanders got an excellent show!

Pawley - yeah I nearly cleaned up that Lancer big time .... can't figure out why he continued doing 30km/h in a 60 zone after the corner .... thank the good son of rajab for ABS :D

Good to see everyone was 'reasonably' sensible and we didn't attract any defect or speeding attention!

    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
    • Skyline R33 Series 2 sedan tail lights in excellent condition. • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
