OMG,

Thank you so much adam for a bloody awsome day! (First time on a dyno and wont be the last, you and me both were quite impressed on my figures.)

Its a real shame to see how much time and effort you put into something and someone try and ruine it because he didnt get his toy with his happy meal!

I know how much time and effort you spent on the day adam and i admire you for attempting it BY YOURSELF!!!!

I just cant get over how much a grown man can winge and complain about a damn figure on a peice of paper.

My pritty stock R33 GTST, made 174RWKW and that to me was a small victory! I was expecting much less.

Mabey next time, we should just invite enthusists rather than winging children.

Once again big thanks to Adz and it was good to meet some more SAU NSW people and put faces to handles.

Im talking to you moanie :whistling: (when you first got there you were sitting halfway up my ass when you went around UAS to park... *shakes fist* I was like who the hell is this damn hoon, then you got and and im like oh, hi :stupid:)

Hope next event can be more about being within a club community and enjoying how many hours people devote to structing a day for everyone to have a good time!

To be honest i was quite appauled to waste the 30 or so minutes of my companys time (good old comindico) reading about el bee who sounds like he is a few fries short of a happy meal!

I i regreat having to leave early, i would have love to see 2rismo and the ZED jump on, would have been quite a nice ride...

Anyone get it on vid?

Errr.... too much bitching in my opinion~ It was nothing more than a social gathering, those who cannot see past this should really think a little harder.

I think that was the main problem satanic, they couldnt think to start with that why it made it hard for them to get past the problem. :whistling:

I heard they had to tie your car down Mik, isnt it standard? :whistling:

You sorta herd correctly...

Mik said to tie it down and they laughed at him, then when it went for about 3k rpm to 7 or 8 in under a second and nearly went flying in to 20+ bystanders, they decided to tie it down and do another run...

But yeah, stock air box... reprezent!

What time did you get there blitz? Didnt see you matey...

It actually WAS strapped dwon when it did that, then they decided to strap it a bit tighter.

In the first place I had to ask Ben about 6 times to strap it down

Tailgating, postwhoring, keeping modz secret, having eyes for ben.... they are all habits which...

1. will get you in to trouble (accept of course the postwhoring :stupid:)

and 2. You really do need to brake them... as some day you too will also have a mini 2rismo in your car :whistling:

Not really relevant as the power figures were all over the place, I think it was around 260-280rwkw though.

Well after reading all this i dont really know what to say I thought the day went terriffic I knew exactly what class i was in people were easy to approch and those i spoke to were friendly .Those who orginized things deserve an award for there efforts with the amount of cars being run on the dyno i amazed there was'nt more confussion a BIG WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED my hats of to you my only complaint is there aint enough chairs for us old guys (which i got reminded of while i was there thanks son :-)...) and my aching feet .

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
