hey, im geting a power fc ecu with commander, i was quoted $400-$800 for a dyno tune, air flow and all, does this sound like a good price?, it was from chip torque on the gold coast, has any one had a pfc tuned on the gold coast or some were close by?, or can recommand a place, that would be great.

not really running anything special, just want it to run smooth at the moment

Pod Filter

stock boost, no boost controller right now, saving for a avc kit for the pfc

hey, thanx you guys for the replies, gives me alot more options to get this done ,thats awesome. i'll check out PITS number and give them a call and also give a call to mercury motorsport, QLD skylines yeah ! :)thanx

one little peice of advice.......AVOID CHIP TORQUE AT ALL COSTS.

REALLY!! damn, u and my girlfriend both said that, i think i beta not go to them hey, i've herd people say dont go there, thanx for the tip.

thanx everyone for the replies, it helped alot. looks like gavin wood auto tech may have my business, ive had some pm's saying he is a top guy to go to, i'll check Matty Spry's as wll, since 2 people on here recommend him, thanx a heap!!

Another vote for Matty Spry.

I was an avid Chip Torque fan, however I believe there tuning and espically there service has gone to shit.

They had my car for almost a week (including the weekend) and I was told that it would be done in one day. I had to take two days off work to get it there and home again (I drove from brisbane).

And to top it all off I was not happy with the tune at all and they charged a f**king arm and a leg ($1200 odd dollars equates to and arm and a leg)

This was about 4 months or so ago and I am still pissed off.

Does any one know Matty Spry number at all, i search on yellow pages but couldent find a contact, were about is he located, brisbane or gold coast, or half way?, thanx for replies to

i went around getting qoutes last week, chiptourque and matt both said 200 an hr and up to 4 hrs depending...

and was that busniess slandering i saw in a previous post, with no warnings given yet? nice work moderaters.oh well guess i can say what i want too now.... dont go to mercury bro, unless u dont mind dodgy tamepring done to your car

Between gavin wood and matty spry, you pretty much have your gold coast skyline needs covered.

The reason chip torque went to shit is because their best tuner left. That tuner being matty spry :) He's the one who now runs PITS. Tell him if he doesnt look after you, I'll send my VL down to him again. Last time I sent it down I had to sign it in under a different name :) He hates my car, causes the poor bloke to lose half a head of hair every time it goes down.

      I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

      My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.

      So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
