well i dont kno anything about these and what i have read is that they are capable of some serious hp. when would boost come on approx? hit full boost? etc i kno this will vary due to mods but lets say for a fairly modded gtr....

i would assume these to be around the 400hp each mark ?

if they are, then assume them to spool up @ full boost 1.3bar ? around the 4800-5000 rpm mark in 4th, if not later.

Which means you wont get full boost in 1st on a 2.6 rb. You will get full boost in 2nd at about 6500rpm, and maybe around the 5500rpm mark in 3rd

Try it and see how you go

it cant be that bad.... no way. that some serious lag lol theyre not that big.. they rate at 380 i think.

y does everyone go for trust old skool turbo designs for?

hasnt anyone heard of "ball bearings" yet :(

trust are the lower class of turbos i reckon, and garrett stuff like the 2560r's etc are heaps better options than these sort of turbos.

trust stuff seems to be soo cheap and i wonder y :P

p.s. no this isnt a dig at mr mad, only the turbos he has mentioned

You HAVE 2530's ??? They are what your swapping for???

You have the best...why back trade...great street/circuit turbo...hell some really crazy guys use these in drag GTR's running low 10's....They have obviously lost their marbles.

Yeh, why run 10s with the 2530s when if you just bolted on the T618z you would easily run 9s, and be the first in Aus to do it with low mount turbos ;)

Its his road car Roi Boi

why run 9's in a Nissan GTR when you run 7's in your twin T88 torana GTR

first he'd have to own a 7 sec twin T88 Torana

I like his chances of 9 second with T618z more   :)

Is this guy not "the" MR MAD?...if he's not he can have the laggy cops...and if he is id like to see his car.

yes i was with my brother, who owns mr mad, the silver twin turbo'd v8 6 second pro street torana which just happens to be front cover of the current street machine magazine

:P:):D

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
