First thing to check. did you renew any of the rear steering arms when you fitted the hicas rack - I presume you fitted the old arms to the hicas lock bar. If you did then do the following...

Jack up the rear of the car to get wheels in air, support on stands and then grab the wheel at a quarter-to-three, try to move the wheel(as the rear steering would have). If you have any movement at ALL then you will most likely need the bushes in the rear hub replaced and the rear steering arms too.

I had Fulcrum at Rocklea do mine in my GTS4 and a mates GTR, they did a pretty good job plus they now have jigs to fit the bushes from doing my car.

Also check that the rear subframe bushes aren't stuffed, the ones behind the doors are silicone filled and the ones near the spare tyre well are solid rubber. The solid ones don't normally cause a problem, just the front ones - which Noltec make.

yeah i replace the arms with new ones when did the lock bar they looked a little sused ime thinking its the front bushes it looks like there is marks from where the subframe has been hitting the chassis rail any one out there who can help with this

Get a big screw driver and lever the subframe around, if it moves then you have a problem. Look at the 4 main subframe to chassis mounting bushes, they are filled with silicone. Make sure none iof them is leaking.

They are marked with green dots in the attached picture;

If the bushes are stuffed you can either replace them with polyuretthane bushes, Nismo harder rubber and alloy. This is a big job as the subframe has to be removed from the car. A less expenive (DIY) job is to fit a set of Whiteline rear subframe bushes (AKA pineapples), to supprt the damaged standard bushes. They are around $115 and can be fitted in 20 minutes.

anyone out thee have solid urathane mounts in there 32 and can let me know whats it like getting conflicting storiesone suse told me that its that harsh i wont be able to even see out the mirrors

even more cool is if someone in brisie has this done can take me for a spin just to ease the questions any help much appricated

Most of the guys with rear subframe bush issues simply add the Whiteline rear subframe alignment kit (pineapples)for ~$115. It is a 20 minute DIY and doesn't add very much NVH at all ie; most people don't even notice it. Much easier and cheaper than removing the whiole rear subframe and pushing out the standard bushes.

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
