Long file names in folders upon folders upon folders f**ks up everything.

Had a dude with a file that was like a sentence, which he put in like 40 sub folders... Oh god. That was a nightmare.

try tell that to the doctors and nurses mate.....they do that all the time....trying to fix something that they have "lost" is impossible lol

Abe, do you get many SSD's coming back for warranty claims?

None, as we don't stock them, as they aren't main stream yet, however we can order them in for you, but warranty would be a real pain.

WTF - SSDs aren't mainstream? Given they have been commercially available for nearly a year and MSY sell out every time they get a shipment in, I would suggest otherwise.

I can however understand all PC shops not wanting to stock them - suddenly all the pos 3 year old PCs that are now a bit slow are sped up significantly with the addition of an SSD drive. Millions of people worldwide will not need to upgrade for another X years due to how much faster they make a PC. Even an old single core XP4000+ absolutely flies with Windows 7 on an SSD.

Oh yeah, I have some PC gear up for sale too guys: 1 x Acer core 2 duo 2 x 1.86Ghz CPU, 1Gb ram, 80Gb SATA HDD PC with 17" LCD $300, Brand new CD Burners (NOT DVD) $10, 8Gb Sandisk Extreme III CF Card $40, 19" AOC CRT monitor $50, brand 1.5 inch photo frame with internal memory $10

They purely aren't mainstream yet, they are still in their infancy as they are still trying to get better access times, price to gigabyte is shocking, they are purely for performance enthusiasts at the moment, until they become better priced per gigabyte.

Kingston SNV425-S2/64GB = $270

Kingston SNVP325-S2/64GB = $331

Intel SSDSA2MH160G2C1 = $933

Seagate 500gb = $85

WD 640GB 64mb Black = $121

WD Raptor 450gb 32mb = $448

WD Raptor 250gb 16mb = $240

As you can see, price to gigabyte, SSD's are not mainstream, UNLESS you are going for performance, then they are for enthusiasts.

anyone know who is working @ modbury IT warehouse with a black R34

I do :D, I found out today but ringing up and asking, lol. The owners name is Michael, he used to work at the Blair Athol Store till it shut, and used to drive a Silver one apparently, now drives the Black one. Other then that I don't know too much, as the person I spoke too doesn't know too much about cars, all they know is they use petrol and brum.

    • Yes they do. For some maybe. But for those used the most by abusers, ie Skylines, the numbers are known. The stock eyebrow height for R32/3 Skylines is about 365/375mm or thereabouts. The minimum such heights are recorded in adjacent columns in the database.
    • Hmmm, interesting. Makes me wonder whether there is bias as well. It's the cheapest fuel, so it is used for all kinds of ill-maintained shitboxes which are bound to have issues regardless. Nicer cars tend to require higher octane rated fuel and can't use it anyway. FWIW, the official NSW E10 facts page is decent.
    • Out of curiosity, how do officials determine what the OEM ride height and suspension specs are? Do they have a book of truth? I'd think that would be quite obscure knowledge for random JDM cars.
    • This is the check list they sign off on. This implies that adjustable coilovers of the type we're referring to are not a "Variable Ride Height" system. This very much is in the ethos of "I can change the height while moving/while parked without pulling wheels off the car and mechanically doing so"
    • Just an update  ... Put the cat back on no issues with the car running wise ... maybe alittle longer to spoil up the turbo. Still running rich but waiting for my tuner to come back into town to retify the situation. WOT runs fine with the cat.
