Sau Vic - General Meeting - Tues 21/03

Recommended Posts

It's SAU Vic Social Meeting time. That's right, Beer, Food, Beer, Cars, Beer and laughs!

These social meetings are divided into two parts, the first if your hungry is a meal from the bistro and a chance to have a chat with other members then the second is a short informal meeting.

We use these meetings to give quick rundowns on past events with video's, pictures and stories etc, to address pressing matters, tell members what's happening behind the scenes and for discussion on upcoming events. It's all pretty relaxed and fun. This is a great opportunity for those of you who don't know too many members to come down and mix as new faces are always welcomed.

Time - 8:00pm (Dinner from 7:00ish)

Date - Tuesday 21st March2006

Hello everyone!

The new Entertainment Books for 2006-2007 are being launched in early April!

Those of you who purchased one last year will know that all the discounts and offers (more than $10,000 worth!) more than make up for the purchase price, even if you only use a few of the offers available. We made our money back straight away, purely by hiring a car for a few days when we went interstate last year! We have also saved multiple times on accommodation, takeaway food (eg KFC), cinema and bowling tickets to name only a few things.

Anyway this year, if you make an advance order for a Greater Melbourne book, you will receive an advance order certificate with some bonus offers attached (that you can use immediately), and you will be *guaranteed* to get your book at the April SAU meeting. The bonus offers are valid until end of June 06 so there's no rush to use them.

You will need to make payment before the 6th April 2006 to get the bonus. I will start handing them out at the March SAU meeting on the 21/3/06. You need to get in early to be reserve your copy and the bonus offers.

Anyone who hasn't purchased the book before is most welcome to get one this year, I will post up a thread detailing everything about the Entertainment Book this week. :P

You can make payment directly to me (preferably) or if you want, you can make payment to the SAU VIC account or you can also bring cash to the March SAU meeting (please PM me beforehand with approx # of books you'll be paying for).

Books are $60 again this year including GST and if you cannot make the SAU meetings or any other events, express postage will be $10.

Please send the receipt to [email protected] with your postal address. And if you cannot attend the March SAU meeting, I will send you the bonus offers & advance order confirmation via regular mail.

Any questions just ask!

Cheers,

Kaz

Hey kaz just a quick one on the ent book... Is it still $60???

Ahh see that's what happens when you change your post, you end up deleting everything important

Sorry.. so yep $60 for the book, if you can't pick it up from the SAU meetings or any other SAU event I'm at, it's a flat $10 for express postage :)

I can tell you Beach Rd is closed but went through South Melbourne last night and all were open virtually up to Beach Rd itself (residents need access still). You will also be fine as Beach Rd is open from 5.30pm today anyway.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
