I always behave :)

I've even finished doing my nails.

My cat's annoying me for food. She keeps running in. Meowing at me, smooching then running back to her bowl. It's very cute.

Each time she does i tell her I'll feed her soon. And I'm still sitting here!!

I just got my diff repaired.

It was basically reconditioned. The bearing had ****ed itself. I got a new bearing and relapped the crown and pinion. SO yeah..

Gavin (my mechanic) couldn't find a diff anywhere.

Heaps of people were just saying "go to a wreckers and buy a skyline diff". I kept saying "It's not that simple. I dont know what electrics would stuff up if I just put a normal diff in"

Ended up costing $1097. That was my intercooler money. But I decided that safety was more important than going faster.

With your diff.. If you start hearing a clicking/tapping noise coming from the back, then that noise goes away, then it turns into a wurring noise that starts at a certain speed (mine started at 110km and got worse) .....(cat's back again)

Anyway, yeah, that's when its bad. It was starting to make the noise at around 40kmp/h when I finally took it to the mechanic. It had also blown a seal before this and was leaking.

Admitadly it does sound like road noise and I thought this was the case cause I've got 255/40/17 profile tyres (there huge!) and so did my mechanic. But yeah, it wasn't.

And no, I don't have a FMIC.. I can't afford it atm. And my insurance doesn't allow it right now :)

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
