look at it this way, i get more looks in my 4 dr skyline than any of you 2 door freaks out there and the best thing about 4 doors is when ya finished drivin a 2 dr numbskull around for a joy ride in the back seat, you can snap the back around and flick him out the rear doors and keep going with even pullin up.....LOL....

LIKE I SAY IF IT WASNT FOR THE 4 DR PRINCE SKYLINE GT........ NONE OF YOU 2DR NIMRODS WOULD HAVE A SKYLINE......

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY 4 DRS!!!

Then as now the 'Prince' is faggy little girls car. It wasn't considered a supercar in its day as the two godzilla variants later were. Nissan was renowned for peices of poor quality crap for many years. The only thing a GTR owner is thankfull for is that the ecconomically stupid (reflected by the low sales) idea of making the Prince didn't sink the company before it had a chance to do something good in later years.

As a matter of fact the factory of 'Autech' is not a real factory but, more of a workshop and they are not 'Nissan' or a division of that company.

They are also a rare breed because they are crap compared to the R33 GTR, in fact I seem to recall a number of them 'rusting away' somewhere because people didn't want to buy them.

They were established in 1986 under the name Autech Japan as a 'pro tuner' of Nissan factory cars but they sold the cars direct from the Nissan dealership. Crap compared to the R33 GTR? Interesting as they still attract $50K+ for them..... which is getting up close to double that of a R33 GTR and well and truly double the vlaue of a R32 GTR.....

Autech did all the tuning for the GT500 Nismo race car engines......

P.S, id take a Prince GT Skyline over a SH*TTER R32 any day :P

Sure it ran in the jap grand prix one year in gt 2 class (nerd mobile class) and didn't even win that, lost to two door cars actually. Around the rest of the world their motor racing success was well....not sucessfull at all.

So what your saying is that Nissan didn't 'make' and 4 door GTRs? Thanks for the clarification. Autech's name is mud because they even did this disgusting conversion to a wagon that has 5 doors!

They might have 'collector' value now but, the cars themselves were not good value for money back in their day ,people knew it and didn't buy them they bought R33 GTRs. As a car to drive they are even worse value for money. So they might have drepreciated less, if your spending $50k on this car for an investment your clearly investing money foolishly as you would be investing in any GTR in the Australian market.

I find it hard to understand how a $50K 10yr grey import can be considered 'mud'......

Nissan didnt make 4dr GTRs, but they gladly gave them to a very reputable tuner to 'create' a GTR from them and sell them directly through the Nissan yards.

Anyway, I believe the bottom line here is that 2dr Skylines are homosexual, right?

what a wast of bandwidth this lot of posts is everyone has their own preferencs and trying to hang shit on someone who has a differing opinion to yours is a waste of energy

that post was a waste of bandwidth

why ?

cos i already know you are a cool fellow 2door owner :(

Mikey you tool ! That first pic of the R33 4-Door.. The front end looks like a U13 Bluebird! Ghey

And whats with the AE86 sittin in your driveway.. Its 2dr.. FAG!

I never seen you around 4drs.

Back to the point. 4-doors clearly take the crown no questions asked. I mean... Kym drives a 2dr.

Nuff' Said

the 2 door 33 and 32 I layed out last night didnt seem to do the 2 door war any good

they got beaten by a built not bought 4 door turbo toyota ffs!

and its not even tuned and running .6 bar... muahhaha

sleeper 4 doors for the win.. having said that im pretty sure my next car will be a 33 4 door..

Sh*t - you know what? He's right!

Where's that petrol and rag - I need to burn my 2 door to the ground.. :O

4door sleepers are pointless - noone's going to even WANT to race you at the lights cos it looks like a piece of shit. Of course you'll always win then! They don't even know you're racing!

Ahhhhhhh, SPORTS cars are always 2door people! (Except Cam's - he drives like a granny)

:laugh::P

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
