btw - i hit the drags tons.

You wont need any licenses etc.

Just make sure you have helmet and long sleeved clothes and long sleeved pants.

The $36 Entry fee or whatever includes 1 pit crew as well, so thats 1 spectator. So sort that out so someone is in with each person and it all gets cheap.

These days you can easily expect 10 runs if you want it....

mick

just let me know if u need it, shoei full face motorbike helmet, i bought it to go out to QR with. Dont think my car will be going for a run after thinkin about it so send me a PM, happy to just watch this time...

You clutch won't be ready for pick up until tuesday arvo so I can get it done on Wednesday for you.

As long as you give it 50km or so of easy driving to bed it in...you won't have a drama. Like I said...it's like a super sports organic so you won't have any problems with it. If you drop it in first thing on Wednesday I should have it ready to go for you before 11.

I also need a helmet but seeing as though I have such a doofus head, I am going to borrow one of a mate.

Looks like next wednesday might be the go for everyone at this point so I guess we'll make it then. Tomorrow is probably too little notice for everyone and I don't wanna head out unless I have someone there I know that might be able to drive me home when the g/box explodes lol.

Was there the week before last. Entry fee for racers: $36 per car( driver+1 spectator), Driver must wear long sleeves and long pants, plus a helmet. Actually you can share 1 between 2 cars, I did that last time since I dont have one. Just tell the lady you will share the helmet with ur friend.

should be about the same price for 2 spectators.... So I reckon go there and race better than just watch. Wednesday would be a better choice, since Fri would be more cars there. Last time, I was able to get at least 8 runs, but gave up after the sixth, since my car's so slow........ Will talk to you soon, Dan.

No problem dan.. i'll still head out to support those running tho, wouldn't wanna lean on teh new clutch too much. PM sent about clutch booking too ;)

Not sure what size my helmet is, think its an XL/ 60cm give or take a cm or so..

I might be popping out there for this, give the sedan its first run down the strip. Most likely on the Friday, might be the end of the clutch though. . . . . oh well ;)

I will aim for a low 14, should be able to get the stocko down there somewhere.

I'm in for Wednesday!! And Dan I have a boof head and a good helmet if you want to share?? No cooties.... honest....

Oh, the car is fixed and it cost a lot less than I expected!! Cracked manifold and 3 sheared bolts!! All better now and runs even better!!

I could be interested for Wednesday..really want to see what the car can do before the new turbo ect! Hmmm what time do I want???? I guess for my first run I would be happy with making it to the end LOL

Thought it might be Dave. When I got mine it had the same thing and apparantley its a common thing for RB25s. They run sooo much better when its all fixed up. . . . which is to be expected I suppose.

Mine, the crack went right around and when I tapped it on the ground it broke in half!

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
